Good day all. The one thing that President Trump said he wants to do, and has been trying to do, is removing all the illegal aliens that stormed across the border under the Biden Maladministration.
The Democrats, of course, not only want to stop the deportations, they want to open the borders again and flood the United States with people who have no interest in assimilating. Their thinking is to use them to overwhelm Americans who don’t vote for Democrats.
Then you have the RINO’s, aka Republicans In Name Only. Many of them are almost as bad as the Democrats. They too want virtually unlimited immigration, but for a very different reason. They want to use the illegals as cheap, almost slave labor instead of hiring Americans and Legal Resident Aliens. These RINO’s are, for lack of a better term, in the pay of the Chamber of Commerce.
Happily, most of these political hacks have been retired due to ill health. Their constituents became sick of them and voted them out. However, there are still a few remaining and one of them has cooked up a scheme so far out there that you would think he had started to grow senile. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:
Republican Utah Sen. John Curtis introduced a bill this week that would let states run their own migrant worker visa programs, with a legal-status pathway for some illegal immigrants tucked inside.
Curtis rolled out the legislation Monday alongside Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, according to the Deseret News. The measure would let state legislatures build voluntary visa programs sized to local labor demand, a reworking of federal immigration law that, according to the outlet, mirrors a 2011 Utah guest-worker proposal Washington never signed off on.
There is a reason they didn’t sign off. It’s a stupid idea. Also, working with Mark Kelly? That’s another reason to scrap this load of shit.
The bill contains language the Deseret News described as a possible pathway to legal residency for illegal immigrants who have been in the United States since Dec. 31, 2016. Those individuals would submit to a background check and pay a $1,000 penalty to qualify, the outlet reported.
This flies in the face of what the majority of Americans want. This boob and a few other RINO’s, apparently one of them being the Governor of Utah aren’t listening to people. I doubt that the voters of Utah support this.
Under the framework, the Immigration and Nationality Act would gain a new nonimmigrant category covering workers and investors, plus their spouses and any children under 18, for terms lasting up to three years, according to the Deseret News. States would write their own rules on employment and residence with sign-off from the Department of Homeland Security, and visa holders would be barred from federal means-tested benefits.
“Utah employers tell me time and again how difficult it’s become to find enough workers to meet growing demands,” Curtis wrote on X. “Our bill allows states to sponsor visas tailored to their unique workforce needs, while ensuring rigorous federal vetting and accountability.”
How does no strike you? Perhaps employers should consider paying people what the job is actually worth, they won’t have as many issues. If there is actually a shortages, then there are systems in place to allow in temporary workers. No, what these employers want are serfs, just one step up from slaves.
Records on Congress.gov show Curtis filed the measure as S.5197 on July 30, with the Senate Judiciary Committee now holding it.
I have a suggestion on what should happen to this bill.
Curtis joins a lineup of Republicans already drawing fire for being soft on immigration.
All of them are wholly owned by big agribusiness. These are the same morons who keep pushing ethanol mandates for gasoline, ignoring the damage and costs putting alcohol into fuel systems. Normally I would call on the Utah Republicans to vote these idiots out, but then you run into the Mormon church, and that is another kettle of fish.
The good news is that there is no way President Trump would sign this bill. This one he would veto and loudly. Still, people need to call their reps, (Forget about calling if you have a Democrat rep. They won’t listen), and tell them to forget this bill. If they won’t, then threaten their jobs. Put someone in the race in opposition even if they have to run as an independent. So far, a number of RINO’s have been taken out. Hunting down a few more and retiring them may encourage the rest.
