Good day all. In the realm of “Who didn’t see this coming,” there are reports that Paramount Studios is planning to pull up stakes and abandon the failed communist state of Kalifornistan.
For those who live in a cave with no access to movies and television, last year Skydance, which is owned by the Ellison of Oracle fame, bought Paramount. This also included CBS. The news of that deal caused what amounted to a flat out mutiny by all the Progressives at CBS News and they actively tried to sabotage the deal.
Needless to say, they failed miserably. Then came the news that Bari Weiss was hired to clean up the pile of shit that is CBS News, and 60 minutes. The Libtards at 60 minutes didn’t handle that very well. When Weiss pulled a 60 minutes story, saying it needed more work, several people in 60 minutes managed to get it released on a streaming platform. That got a few people fired.
Next was 60 Minutes personality, (He’s no reporter. He just reads the script in front of him the same way as the fictional Ron Burgundy does) That self important moron flat out insulted Bari Weiss in a public meeting and refused to walk it back, The result? Scott Pelley was fired for cause, lost all his benefits and was escorted from the building.

Next came a true battle royale between Netflix and Skydance over Warner Brothers. The bidding was ridiculous and there is little doubt that the Warner Brothers CEO was playing games. In the end, Skydance and the Ellisons won and have been going through the regulatory checks. Both the Federal Government and the EU have signed off and by rights the deal should be going through the final stages.
This isn’t happening for a simple reason. The Democrat Attorneys General in 12 states, including Kalifornistan, have sued to stop the deal citing antitrust issues. (The same issues already cleared by the United States and the European Union) The suit landed in front of one of the corrupt COB judges, who has put a hold on the deal. Now the Ellisons have had enough and are planning to shut down all the Paramount studios in California and move to another state. Here are the details from Newsmax:
Facing what it sees as a highly politicized effort by a coalition of state attorneys general to block its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount is considering moving operations out of California as early as October and could relocate CBS News from New York as well.

Paramount Chief Legal Officer Makan Delrahim publicly acknowledged Tuesday that leaving California is among the company’s options as it fights the antitrust lawsuit brought by California and 11 other states.
Originally, when Skydance/Paramount were looking at Warner Brothers, they had no real intention of pulling out of the state. They even said so at the time, and I believe they were genuine. However, California’s AG, Robert Bonta, is an absolute scumbag and completely dishonest, which makes him a perfect Attorney General for Kalifornistan. He is the one who cooked this bogus antitrust suit up.
The states argue that combining Paramount and Warner would give the merged company excessive power over theatrical movie distribution and cable television.
That was already disproven. What the actual truth was, if Netflix had taken ownership of the parts of Warner Brothers they wanted, it would have been stopped on antitrust grounds by the Department of Justice. There were serious issues, a major one being that Netflix doesn’t do releases into theaters. Paramount does and it’s a core part of their business model.
Supporters of Paramount note that the effort by the state attorneys general appears to be motivated by anger toward President Donald Trump and the fact that his Department of Justice had approved the merger while nixing Netflix’s proposal to do the same.
And now, Paramount is leaving, and talking all the jobs, and more importantly, all the tax revenue they’ve been paying into the state coffers. This doesn’t include all of the economic activity generated by the studio, both directly and indirectly. All that money is going to go away. It’s going to vanish. It won’t be there any longer.
“Ultimately, you know, go to a place where you’re wanted,” Delrahim said at a Politico-sponsored conference, referring to company efforts to relocate to friendlier states.
Paramount executives have discussed Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia as possible destinations.
Georgia is possible, but according to people plugged into the industry, not likely. They have a few problems such as Atlanta. Texas would be high on the list as would Tennessee, especially since so many Hollyweird types have fled the mess they helped to create. (Some of them have actually learned. Not all sadly)
California Attorney General Rob Bonta has blasted the relocation threat as “an attempt to blackmail the regulators who are daring to enforce the law.”
He should talk! He’s engaging in a flagrant attempt at state control of a business. As to why? CNN. Without question, Skydance is going to clean out that Democrat Propaganda organ and rebuild it back to what it was supposed to be. A reliable, trustworthy source of information, not something that spews Democrat talking points.
Bonta said there are currently no settlement talks and vowed to take the case to trial.
Bonta, among other things, is an idiot. He will lose this suit and the costs to California will be in the billions. This doesn’t take into account what might happen if Skydance/Paramount, (The Ellisons), decide to take legal action against Bonta and the other AG’s pushing this suit. Even that blithering idiot of a Governor, Gavin Newsom, knows that this is a bad idea.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office, meanwhile, has encouraged Bonta’s office to seek a settlement amid concerns about the economic consequences of Paramount leaving the state.

It isn’t just Kalifornistan that could see Paramount/CBS pull up stakes, It appears that the Ellisons are also considering pulling CBS out of New York.
Ellison may also have New York in his sights, according to the New York Post. CBS News could potentially be moved from New York City, with Atlanta reportedly among the locations under consideration.
If/When the Warner Brothers deal finally closes, that would make some sense. You would have CBS News and CNN under one corporate roof and both need a major overhaul to get rid of the trash that has reduced the News Division of CBS and CNN to nothing more than discredited Democrat propaganda organs. CNN is based in Atlanta, and at the very least, pulling out of New York would save the corporation huge amounts of money, potentially hundreds of millions, in taxes.
A source close to Paramount described the plans as contingencies, while one media executive said the ultimate question could be how many operations Ellison moves out of California and New York.
How about all of them?
Such relocations could carry significant consequences for media and production jobs in both states.
Bonta has maintained that CNN is not part of California’s legal case.

Bonta is lying through his teeth of course. It has everything to do with CNN. The Democrats, after decades of controlling the Main Stream Media and blocking anything that went against the democrat Narratives, are losing control. The rise of the Internet has caused the creation of a huge number of alternate sources of information.
It’s these sources that are finding out things like the massive levels of fraud now being investigated by the DoJ. CBS and CNN? They buried the stories and insulted the citizen journalists who published them until the stories became to big for them to ignore. Even then, they’ve been trying to downplay the levels of corruption, the mounts stolen and which political party allowed it to happen.

I have no clue how this bogus case is going to go. It might be flushed by the federal courts under the commerce clause. I do think the odds of Paramount telling Kalifornistan and New York to just kiss off and move everything out of those states have increased significantly.
