Good day all. For years, there have been rumors that Representative Ilhan Omar, (Commie-Somalia), may have falsified her immigration records by marrying her biological brother. While I haven’t written anything directly regarding this rumor, I think I may have mentioned it a time or two. However, it’s never been “Proven” that this actually happened.
Now something has happened that hasn’t really been covered all that much. During the convention in Texas, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin dropped a little bomb regarding Ilhan Omar, her brother and her immigration and naturalization. Here are some of the details from the Daily Mail:
Trump’s top immigration official claims an internal investigation found that Congresswoman Ilhan Omar ‘married her brother’ and could be facing deportation.
‘We know that she married her brother to try to bring him into the United States,’ Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said of the Minnesota Democrat. ‘We know he lives now in London.’
Apparently, Secretary Mullin was referring to the second man she married, Ahmed Elmi. One of the problems was that she was also married to her first husband, Ahmed Hirsi. While I am aware that Islam does allow polygamy, that is for men. They can marry up to four women at the same time. I don’t think women have the same option under that religion. If this is accurate, she is also a bigamist.
Mullin told conservative pundit Benny Johnson that Omar’s actions amounted to ‘possible illegal activity’ and the investigation is ‘ongoing,’ breaking a standard where officials typically do not discuss active investigations.
‘We’re investigating,’ he said before threatening to deport her should the investigation warrant such a dramatic action.
That is something that concerns me. I know that Democrats won’t hesitate to bray like a heard of horny jackasses when they are targeting a Republican, but it’s unusual for the Republicans do the same thing.
‘There’s no expiration to that,’ he said of the potential charges. ‘If we can prove it that, maybe you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we’ll deport you.’
And there is the rub. Proving the charges. There has been a lot of innuendo, rumors and stories, but nothing that could be used in a court of law. On the flip side, no one has actually looked at Omar’s “Marriages” until recently. Perhaps Secretary Mullin has seen something that we don’t know about? If so, why provide Omar any sort of warning? It would have been far more satisfying to simply get an indictment, have an arrest warrant issued and then snapping the cuffs on her as she arrived on Capitol Hill.

Mullin appeared to be alluding to potential immigration documents being falsified, which would be a deportable offense. That plan could face difficulty given Omar became a naturalized US citizen in 2000, when she was 17.
I’m not sure. It might not get her deported, but it would get her expelled from congress and potential, actually, probable criminal charges. However, that is something I’ll have to leave for people familiar with the law to confirm or deny.
Abdihakim Osman, a past friend of Omar, told the Mail in 2020 that Omar said she wanted to get her brother papers so he could stay in the United States, at a time when she was married to her first husband Ahmed Hirsi.
Which, of course, would make sense. There is nothing wrong with that. The question here is, did Omar follow the laws or did she break them?
‘No one knew there had been a wedding until the media turned up the marriage certificate years later,’ Osman exclusively told Daily Mail at the time.

Omar married her first husband, Hirsi, in 2002 in a Muslim ceremony that, like many in the immigrant community, was not registered with the state.
I can’t comment on that situation. I have zero familiarity with laws regarding marriages in Michigan.
The first report that Omar and her husband were siblings appeared on the website Somalispot in 2016. It said of Elmi: ‘As soon as Ilhan Omar married him he started university at her alma mater North Dakota State University where he graduated in 2012.’
Mullin said the investigation into Omar is apolitical despite the congresswoman being a longtime target of Trump. He’s posted about her in derogatory ways dozens of times on social media, and he’s pushed to have her investigated.
President Trump has demanded a lot of investigations, however he isn’t pushing them. He has been generally leaving the DoJ alone and not interfering. This differs from a number of previous presidents. Nixon was big on using the DoJ and IRS to go after his enemies, as was JFK, FDR, LBJ and Obama. I’m not including Dementia Joe Biden even though his administration weaponized the legal system against it’s political enemies. He was mentally unfit to make any decisions. I think it was the cabinet members who pushed Lawfare against people.
The Department of Homeland Security office did not deny Mullin’s claims that Omar did indeed marry her brother.
Correction, it neither denied or confirmed the claims.
‘As a matter of policy, DHS does not comment on specific investigative techniques, ongoing investigations, or potential future actions,’ a spokesperson said, seemingly coming at odds with Mullin’s disclosure.
This isn’t at odds with Secretary Mullin. The spokesman is doing his or her job and sticking to established procedures and policies. Saying all this, I’m wondering now if DHS and the DoJ aren’t now taking all of this information to a grand jury and that was why Mullin said what he did. It’s also possible that he’s blowing smoke at Ilhan Omar. Whatever the case, if there is a case, we won’t see anything come of it until after the midterms and probably until next year.
