California admits it doesn’t look for noncitizens on voter rolls

Good day all. One of the major policies president Trump has been pushing is securing elections. Part of this was the SAVE Act, which hasn’t passed the Senate thanks to John Thune, the Democrats and the RINO’s who are ignoring that most people want it passed. Then there is the problem of noncitizens who are registered to vote.

Recently, New Jersey was forced to admit that they had found at least 6500 people who were registered to vote who were not American citizens. Other states, some actively working with the Federal government, have also found noncitizens on the voter rolls. In most cases, these people had no idea that they were registered and never voted. Some did. Then we have Kalifornistan.

When it comes to illegal aliens, potential voter and election fraud and sheer incompetence, Kalifornistan is, if not at the top of the list, then very close to it. They have been fighting the Trump Administration over cleaning their voter rolls of ineligible people. Now it’s come out that Kalifornistan doesn’t know how many noncitizens are on the roles and has no policy to investigate illegal voting. Here are the details from the Federalist:

For years, Americans have been told that concerns about noncitizens voting are a myth, a right-wing talking point unworthy of serious attention. California’s own secretary of state and attorney general have proven otherwise, however, not by admitting the state has no idea whether, or how often, it’s even happening, but by indicating the state isn’t bothering to track it.

A few weeks ago, the ACLJ submitted two California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests — one to the California secretary of state and one to Attorney General Rob Bonta’s office — seeking records on how the state maintains the integrity of its voter rolls. The Attorney General’s Office took an extension, ultimately responding on Aug. 10.

And the response? Considering that it’s Kalifornistan, it was about what you would expect.

The Secretary of State’s Office responded first, but refused to provide any records responsive to our request. According to its answer, the statewide voter registration system simply “does not contain” a specific cancellation reason for non-citizenship. In other words, the state cannot tell us how many noncitizens have ever been removed from its voter rolls — because it doesn’t keep that information at all.

I know that there are legal resident aliens who never registered to vote, at least not knowingly, who, when they found out, were very loud to get their names off the voter lists. They all know that voting in American elections as noncitizens is a great way to be booted from the country. These registrations happen enough that the Immigration service doesn’t hold it against the immigrants as long as they never voted. Why? The opt-out registration systems in place in many states under the Motor Voter laws.

The Federalist then goes into what their actual requests were and what the responses were. The responses show that California has no interest in securing their elections. The responses were things like how many registrations were canceled because the people weren’t citizens. The answer? Basically, we don’t know. The fourth question was the outcomes of investigations into illegal voting. The response should anger anyone who believes in and wants fair and honest elections.

California said it simply “does not maintain” those statistics.

The Federalist then put in a second FOIA request, and the responses were even worst than the first ones. I really recommend that you go to the Federalist story and review just how bad the state’s responses were. Additionally, it looks like the State of California is actually breaking federal law.

The problem for California? Federal law requires every state to maintain records showing how it safeguards the accuracy of its voter rolls and to make those records available to the public. Specifically, the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), 52 U.S.C. § 20507, requires each state to retain, for at least two years, and make available for public inspection, records showing how it works to keep its official voter rolls accurate and current.

But California’s secretary of state just admitted in writing that it keeps no such records regarding the removal of noncitizens from its rolls. That’s convenient. But it’s also unlawful.

It’s also worth noting that California doesn’t require proof of citizenship or lawful presence for a certain category of driver’s license, AB 60 — the same kind of licensing pathway that triggered New Jersey’s noncitizen voter roll problem. And driver’s licenses are used to establish identity.

Almost since the first days of the second Trump administration, President Trump and his people have been pushing states to clean up their voter rolls. Most of the “Red” states have been working on that. The “Blue” states have not only refused, they have been filing federal law suits against the Administration to block them from looking at the voter rolls and seeing who shouldn’t be on them.

Now, I think we know why. Kalifornistan has no interest in fair, open and honest elections. More specifically, the Democrat Party has no interest in fair and open elections. The reason is simple. An honest election would probably see a virtual political slaughter of Democrats. I hope the DoJ sees this article. The levels of corruption in that state almost scream for a federal takeover of their election system. (Yes, I know, I don’t know how it cold be done legally, but something has to happen)
