Ilhan Omar uses raid to raise campaign donations

Good day all. Not even 24 hours has passed and Ilhan Omar is using the raid on her home to raise campaign contributions.

There is a lot that we still don’t know about that raid, but the latest reports seem to indicate that it may be a lot worse, (For Omar), than was first thought. You would think that Omar would be looking to mitigate any potential charges. Nope, for her, grifting comes first. Here are the details from The Hill:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) released a fundraising email focused on the federal investigation for which agents raided her home on Monday. 

“Stand with Ilhan Omar,” the email reads, according to a screenshot obtained by The Hill’s partner network, NewsNation. “Donald Trump and DHS have opened a baseless, partisan investigation into Ilhan Omar, and she needs us by her side as they escalate their attacks.”

“Chip in whatever you can to make sure Ilhan can beat Trump and keep fighting for our progressive values in Congress,” the email concludes. 

Progressive is the new word for Communism these days. It certainly has nothing in common with the original meaning of the word made popular by Theodore Roosevelt. I’m also not surprised that Omar is using that raid for personal profit. While it does appear they are looking into her immigration status, I would not be at all surprised if the DoJ is also looking into her finances, and if she was involved in the massive fraud in Minnesota. Switching to a story in Newsmax:

The search comes three weeks before the Nov. 3 midterm elections, as Republicans seek to maintain control of Congress.

The Hill noted that major Justice Department investigative actions involving political candidates within 60 days of an election are unusual.

Well that came to an end under Biden. In any case, Omar’s seat is “Safe” for the Commiecrats. Even if they arrest her on November 2^nd, she’s still going to win. If she’s committed actual criminal offenses, it doesn’t matter if this happens now or November 4^th.

Her congressional office issued a separate statement describing the search as an “outrageous abuse of power” and asserting that the congresswoman had committed no wrongdoing.

They were adding to Omar’s earlier statement where she denied she was a criminal.

“The Congresswoman has done nothing wrong. No president should be able to use the power of the federal government to intimidate his political enemies,” the statement said.

May I point these people to the previous administration?

President Trump and Ilhan Omar have been fighting since she first came into office. One of the major arguments is Immigration, specifically illegal immigration and illegal aliens. Omar wants more and President Trump, along with a majority of Americans, want them removed from the country.

Then there is what is known as the “Somali Affair. Literally billions of dollars have been stolen by Somali immigrants with some of that money ending up in the hands of terrorist organizations.

The Minnesota Democrat has frequently criticized Trump’s immigration policies and defended Somali immigrants, who make up a significant community in her congressional district.

I don’t know how much Ilhan Omar will make off the raid. Without question, Leftist idiots who hate President Trump and America will be happy to fund Ilhan Omar’s lifestyle campaign. However, they might want to consider what may happen if actual indictments, criminal charges and a potential conviction will look. The donors will have once again set fire to a pile of money that would have been better spent elsewhere.

Now we wait to see what happens next. Most people seem to think that nothing is going to happen until next year. It will take time to review the documents taken by HSI and the DoJ. If they find something, there may be follow up searches. With luck, Ilhan Omar will not have a happy ending.
