Do you need yet another reason not to vote for Mitt Romeny, aka Mittens Obomney? Well, how about his doubling down on stupid and saying forcing people to buy insurance is fundamentally conservative.
I read about his latest demonstration of utter contempt for free choice over at Hot Air.
Here’s the money quote:
“I’m happy to stand by the things I believe,” Romney told Fox News. “I’m not going to change my positions by virtue of being in a presidential campaign. What we did was right for the people of Massachusetts. The plan is still favored there by 3:1 — and it is fundamentally a conservative principle because the people take personal responsibility rather than turning to the government for free care.”

This is utter and complete HORSE MANURE! Forcing people to buy something they don’t want is not conservative, it is nothing less than fascism/totalitarianism. It is 180 degrees from being in any way shape or form conservative.
Obamney, like most statist totalitarians, can’t stand the thought of people making their own decisions and living with the results. His big lie that most of the people in Massachusetts want this flies in the face of facts. Most people have grown to detest this.
In fact, there are already several cases where people wanted to get health insurance that fit their needs and budgets and were told that “No, this doesn’t meet the STATE’s requirements. You must buy THIS insurance plan at a far higher cost. One of the excuses used is that people can be made to buy auto insurance. Massachusetts is one of the states with this requirement. There’s just one small difference. You don’t have to own a car.
Obamney is a classic RINO. He is a liar and a fraud. If elected he will NOT repeal Obamacare. We need his kind in office again like we need a hole in the head. Obamney should have run as a Liberal Democrat. He fits right in.
If he wins the nomination, he’ll probably lose the election. Even if he doesn’t, there’s a good chance this incompetent, failed politician will cause the breakup and eventual collapse of the Republican party when the conservative wing decides enough is enough and forms a Third party. If/when that happens you can expect a lot of members in Congress will bolt to it and more importantly, so will a large number of big donors.
I still haven’t decided who I’m voting for, but I am NOT voting for this fraud!
