LA city council disapproves of the First Amendment

Good day all, I’ve just read the latest from Moonbat Heaven better known as Los Angeles. These incompetent morons are about to pass a resolution condemning speech they don’t like very much.

It seems these jokers are all upset about talk show hosts and other radio personalities saying bad things. What are these bad things? Well in their puny little minds, it’s anything that doesn’t toe the Marxist Politically Correct line.

From CBS Los Angeles:

City Council members took a step closer on Wednesday to becoming the first in the nation to adopt a resolution condemning certain types of speech on public airwaves.

Waaaaahhhhh! He hurt my feewings! Someone stop the bad man from saying bad things!!

Councilmember Jan Perry introduced legislation that would call upon media companies to ensure “on-air hosts do not use and promote racist and sexist slurs” on radio and other broadcasts.

The only thing missing here is the “Or Else” these commies, Nazi’s and other types of totalitarians usually throw around.

Members of Black Media Alliance, National Hispanic Media Coalition, Korean-American Bar Association, American Indians in Film and Television and attorney Gloria Allred were on hand to voice their support for the proposal.

A veritable Who’s Who of the Left Wing elites. I wrote about Gloria Allred’s attempt to have Rush Limbaugh arrested the other day. Her contempt for the Constitution, a document she swore to uphold when she was admitted to the bar, is well known. So why are these moonbats flocking to this issue now?

The resolution — which was also supported by Councilmember Bernard Parks and Council President Herb Wesson — called attention to the recent uproar over comments by KFI 640 AM talk show hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou.

Kobylt and Chiampou were suspended after they called the late pop singer Whitney Houston a “crack ho” three days after her death in February.

I would have to say that calling the late Whitney Houston a “Crack ho” was a bit over the top. To my knowledge, Whitney Houston never prostituted herself to get drugs or money for drugs. Otherwise…

The proposal cites a “long history of racially offensive comments as well as deplorable sexist remarks, particularly towards women and Black, Latino, and Asian communities” at KFI 640 and calls for parent company Clear Channel Communications to hire a more diverse workforce to offset the trend.

Gee, I guess these clowns forgot about that massively successful left wing radio network called Air America ((History of Air America)). You know, the one that went belly up and has been accused of stealing money from charities?

“It is easy to become desensitized to what other groups find intolerable which ultimately fosters an environment where negative comments can go unchecked and corporate guidelines and policies are no longer being enforced,” the resolution reads.

Clear Channel is in business to make money. Now I know for moons bats, that is a dirty thing, (Making money), but unlike most of the idiots on the City Council, Clear Channel can’t just tax their listeners into oblivion.

Remarks from syndicated talk show host Rush Limbaugh referring Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke as a “slut” and a “prostitute” for testifying on Capitol Hill about women’s access to contraception were also cited in the proposal.

As it has come out. Sandra Fluke is a left wing Feminazi and a liar. She has been completely discredited. Calling her a slut, after saying it costs her $1000 a year for birth control actually fits. I wrote about Ms. Fluke and Rush Limbaugh back when that mess happened. One of my commentators, as well as Rush Limbaugh and others, came up with the actual costs of Birth Control pills. It comes to about $10 a month at Walmart. In order to require $1000 dollars, Ms. Fluke would have to be servicing at least 12 men per day and be using condoms. If a woman is with that many men a day, she is a slut or a prostitute.

As a public service and to refresh the memory of the moonbats, here is the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Of course this is the People’s Democratic Republic of Los Angeles, yet another Marxist/Socialist state that is bankrupt. We all know that the best thing that could happen is a nice earthquake tipping them into the Pacific.
