Democrats support criminals

Now there is a totally unsurprising headline. Democrats want to protect criminals from getting shot by their victims. The proof is in the latest bit of utter stupidity the Democrats are trying to push through congress.

In a Washington Times article:

House to vote on Trayvon amendment

House Democrats said Tuesday they will offer an amendment to push to overturn stand-your-ground self-defense laws in states like Florida.

The amendment, which would withhold some grants from states that have such laws, will come as part of the House’s debate on the Commerce Department spending bill.

The Democrats have been in favor of coddling criminals at the expense of the law abiding for decades. In some cases, people who defended themselves were criminally charged and successfully sued by their assailants. In a large number of states you had to literally abandon your home to the criminals. These are some of the reasons that the “Stand your ground” laws were enacted by the states.

“‘Shoot-first’ laws have already cost too many lives. In Florida alone, deaths due to self-defense have tripled since the law was enacted. Federal money shouldn’t be spent supporting states with laws that endanger their own people,” said Reps. Raul Grijalva of Arizona and Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the two Democrats who are offering the legislation. “This is no different than withholding transportation funds from states that don’t enforce seat-belt laws.”

Lets take a look at who is getting shot here. Is it the mailman? No. How about the housewife next door? Nope. The FedEx delivery driver? Uh uh. The people, and I use that term advisedly, getting shot are low life vermin who want to rob, plunder rape and kill people. In other words, no great loss to society.

Now there is no way this will get through the House of Representatives. Even if it did make it through the house, then the senate and the SCoaMF signed it into law, there would be an immediate court challenge. I would also think that if this were forced down people’s throats, it would result in flat out threats against any law enforcement agency as well as prosecutors trying to send people who defended themselves to jail.

This whole thing was brought about by the Zimmerman/Martin mess in Florida. I haven’t gone into that case in any real detail. One of the reasons was so much of what was announced in the beginning was absolutely dead wrong. The entire case brought against Zimmerman by the Florida Prosecutor was bogus and has all but fallen apart. Alan Dershowitz, a well known conservative lawyer, (NOT!), has said that the Florida DA is the one who should be looking at criminal charges.

However, the Democrats are not about to let the facts get in their way of suppressing the constitution and the rights of the people to be secure in their homes and persons. In fact, I suspect that this case should also be listed by Ellison and Grijalva as another reason to not let people protect themselves. IN the Democrat’s mind, you, the law abiding citizen have the following rights only:

1. The right to be robbed
2. The right to be beaten
3. The right to be raped
4. The right to be killed

After all, we mustn’t stop criminals from “expressing” themselves.

With every passing day, we are seeing just what the Communists Socialists National Socialists Fascists Progressives Marxists Liberal Democrats really think of the American people and our way of life. These vermin supporting scum MUST be removed from office.
