The Moonbats of Cambridge are taking flight

Good day all. I hope you are sitting in a comfortable place, enjoying that nice sugary soft drink. If you are in Cambridge, enjoy it while you can.

Yes, the Moonbats are at it again. In this case, they want to top His Royal Totalitarian Nannyness, Mayor Moonbat Bloomberg. As you may recall, Bonehead Bloomberg decided to ban large capacity soft drinks because people like them. He decreed that restaurants and theaters may only sell small capacity containers of sugary goodness. This has gone over about as well as someone relieving themselves in your Big Gulp.

Well, the City of Cambridge Massachusetts, a well known breeding ground for Moonbats, has decided to go one better. The Mayor of Stalingrad on The Charles wants to ban soda all together in restaurants in the city. Below is the text of the proposal sent to the Cambridge Supreme Soviet City Council:

MAYOR DAVIS

WHEREAS:
High intake of soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages increases the risk of obesity and diabetes; and

WHEREAS:
New York City has a plan to limit the serving size of soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages sold in restaurants; now therefore be it

ORDERED:
That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to refer the matter of a ban on soda and sugar-sweetened beverages in restaurants to the Cambridge Public Health Department for a recommendation.

This isn’t the first nutty idea coming out of Cambridge. They’re always coming up with new ways to turn the United States into the Gulag Archipelago. The last time was when they wanted to turn Cambridge into an “Environmentally Friendly” city by forcing all residents to become vegans and freeze to death while starving. And people wonder why I stay as far away from Cambridge as I can.
