The Benghazi Emails

Good day all. The implosion of the Obama regime’s coverup of what happened in Benghazi just increased by an order of magnitude. Emails have been released that indicates that the State Department and intelligence services knew that the attack that killed Ambassador Stevens and 3 other people within hours of the attack.

Reuters News Service released emails purporting to show that the White House and State Department knew within two hours of the attack that it was a terrorist assault and not a riot that went out of control.

Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show.

Now as you may recall, The Obama administration first said this was a riot gone bad over a stupid video. UN Ambassador Susan Rice ((Susan Elizabeth Rice)) went on a number of Sunday Morning talk shows and flat out lied about the true cause of this debacle. As more and more data came out, The Obama Administration continued to lie, and coverup what really happened.

Once it came out that it was an Al Qaeda terrorist attack, the Obama Administration first through the intelligence services under the bus, quickly followed by Hillary Clinton. The only problem with this is these people hijacked the bus and have started providing actual data to the media and more importantly, Congress. Now we have emails that show that the highest levels of the Administration were informed about what was happening even as the attack was underway.

The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.

The brief emails also show how U.S. diplomats described the attack, even as it was still under way, to Washington.

People, make no mistake about what you are now hearing. This is big. This is at least as big as the discovery of the Nixon tapes ((Nixon White House tapes)) during the Watergate investigation ((The Watergate scandal)). Back in 1972, a stupid break in that Nixon apparently wasn’t even aware of led to a coverup and eventually brought Nixon to the brink of Impeachment. (He resigned from office to avoid that) Now we are seeing an actual series of emails that tell us that there is no way either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama couldn’t have known how bad things were. And their isn’t any 18 ½ minute gap in the tapes either.

Of course, the Obama administration is not going to go down without a fight. Hillary Clinton came out swinging today and responded to the allegations that she was fully informed about what was happening when it happened. Here are a few details from Fox News:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pushed back Wednesday on the suggestion that Sept. 11 emails implicating an Al Qaeda-tied group in the Libya consulate attack were proof of terrorist involvement, saying their claims of responsibility on Facebook and Twitter were not “evidence.”

Though social media was vital in driving — and monitoring — the so-called Arab Spring that overthrew longtime dictators in Libya and other countries, Clinton dismissed it as an unreliable source after a series of internal emails sent by Clinton’s State Department staff surfaced in which officials reported within hours of the attack that militant group Ansar al-Sharia claimed responsibility in Internet postings.

“Posting something on Facebook is not in and of itself evidence,” Clinton said. “And I think it just underscores how fluid the reporting was at the time and continued for some time to be.”

This, of course, flies in the face of what’s been happening since Twitter and Facebook went online. It’s obvious to me that Cankles the Cackling Crone has forgotten about the man in Pakistan who was tweeting about the raid on Bin Laden AS IT HAPPENED. He didn’t know what was going on of course, but his blow by blow, (along with commentary regarding a giant flyswatter), became an internet sensation ((Man Inadvertently Live Tweets Osama Bin Laden Raid)).

She suggested those producing the emails were “cherrypicking” documentation, as the White House noted the organization reportedly had denied responsibility in other settings.

Considering that you, King Putt and others have been less than forthcoming with the information requests by both the media and, more importantly, Congress, I think it’s safe to say that even cherry picked information is better than no information.

“I think within a few hours that organization itself claimed that it had not been responsible. Neither should be taken as fact,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said.

Thank you Mr. Lack of Credibility.

But the group is a prime suspect. Indeed, one suspect in custody in Tunisia is a member of Ansar al-Sharia, one lawmaker told Fox News.

Oops! Looks like someone made the mistake of catching one of these thugs before the SCoaMF was ready. What a pity. I’m sure the Congress completely understands the situation.

Three Republican senators, in a letter Wednesday to the White House, said they were “disturbed” by the latest email revelations, claiming it “adds to the confusion” about what the administration knew of the attacks.

“In television interviews nearly a week after the events in Benghazi, you yourself even refused to describe it as a terrorist attack, instead emphasizing the role played by a hateful video. This concerted misrepresentation of the facts of the case — facts that, it appears, you and your administration possessed almost as soon as the attack began — is why so many of our constituents are demanding a fuller explanation of why your administration responded as it did,” wrote Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; John McCain, R-Ariz.; and Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H. They called on the president to “address the American people directly” on what happened.

Congress, at least the Republican side and possibly a few honest Democrats, (A rare animal these days), are getting tired of Obama’s lies. They want answers as to what happened and how it was allowed to occur in the first place.

Though the emails, obtained by Fox News on Tuesday, are just one piece of the puzzle, they reveal some of the most detailed information yet about what officials knew in the initial hours after the attack. And they again raise questions about why U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, apparently based on intelligence assessments, would claim five days after the attack that it was a “spontaneous” reaction to protests over an anti-Islam film.

In my opinion, the Congress should haul Rice’s lying ass up to Capitol Hill, but her under oath and demand to know who told her to go on those tv shows and provided her with the talking points she was given. If she lies, prosecute her. If she tells them who gave her her marching orders, drag his/her ass up there and find out who told HIM/HER to give Rice her instructions. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed until the truth comes out.

The apparent reason for all these denials, lies and whatnot is that as far as Der Fubar and his minions are concerned, When Osama bin Laden was plugged by the SEALS, Al Qaeda ceased to exist. For an Al Qaeda inspired attack to have occurred, then Al Qaeda would have to still exist. This doesn’t set to well with the Obama, at least that’s what former UN Ambassador John Bolton told NewsMax.

Bolton also blamed the failure to launch an immediate military response to the attack, based on the email traffic that reportedly reached the White House situation room and the State Department, on election year politics and the administration’s reluctance to admit that al-Qaida “was resurgent in Libya.”

“It undercut the [Obama campaign] storyline that the war on terror is over, al-Qaida’s on the run, the Arab spring has been a success,” Bolton said. “And that led to the denials of the request [before the attack] for security enhancement. That led to the tragedy in Benghazi. And I think that then led to this ridiculous story that it was caused by some YouTube video.”

Bolton described it as “a willful blindness” to reality.

That would be a symptom of Obama’s narcissism and megalomania. Because he doesn’t want it to be true, then it isn’t true so there isn’t a problem. Anything that might upset this belief is to be buried, attacked and/or destroyed.

I’ve been reading and hearing about people complaining that Romney didn’t hammer Obama regarding the Benghazi fiasco. (People like that arrogant jerk Bill O’Reilly for one) I didn’t watch the debate, but people who did and who aren’t idiots are saying that Romney was being strategic and pretty much letting Obama dig himself a nice hole. These emails provide a nice big shovel for Obama and he has been merrily digging away.

There is still a chance Obama might sleaze his way into a second term. Considering all the people who have been killed by his incompetence, not to mention all the coverups, it is not unlikely that he will face an impeachment trial. If that happens, and the Democrats don’t try to protect him the way they did Bill Clinton, Obama would be removed. Then he could be criminally charged and sent to a nice maximum security retirement home for wayward ex-presidents. Of course, he does have to win the election, and with all these new revelations on just how fatally incompetent King Putt and his administration have been for the last four years, it’s looking more and more like he will be a one term fiasco president.
