Obamacare to destroy charity hospitals

Good day all. As we learn more and more of the disaster of Obamacare, yet another gem has come out. Now, thanks to Obamacare, Charity hospitals will be facing incredible levels of scrutiny with the chance of massive fines.

Now charity hospitals have been around in the United States for centuries. They are run by philanthropic groups and religious organizations. Many of the so called “Robber barons ((Robber baron (industrialist)))” of the 19^th and early 20^th centuries set up many famous hospitals designed to help the poor. Since these are not under the thumb of Obama and his regime, these hospitals have to go and who cares what happens to those who use them. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:

Charitable hospitals that treat uninsured Americans will be subjected to new levels of scrutiny of their nonprofit status and could face sizable new fines under Obamacare.

A new provision in Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code, which takes effect under Obamacare, sets new standards of review and installs new financial penalties for tax-exempt charitable hospitals, which devote a minimum amount of their expenses to treat uninsured poor people. Approximately 60 percent of American hospitals are currently nonprofit.

As we have seen, the goal of Obama and the Progressive Liberal Democrats is to destroy the current medical system and create a system rivaling the failed systems in Europe. Anything that stands in the way of this MUST be destroyed and the best way to do that is to tax and fine them out of existence.

Charity for the uninsured is one of the factors that could discourage enrollment in Obamacare, which requires all Americans to purchase health insurance or else face new taxes themselves from the IRS.

“It requires tax-exempt hospitals to do a community needs survey and file additional paperwork with the IRS every three years. This is to prove that the charitable hospital is still needed in their geographical area — ‘needed’ as defined by Obamacare and overseen by IRS bureaucrats,” said John Kartch, spokesman for Americans for Tax Reform.

“Failure to comply, or to prove this continuing need, could result in the loss of the hospital’s tax-exempt status. The hospital would then become a for-profit venture, paying income tax — hence the positive revenue score” for the federal government, Kartch said. “Obamacare advocates turned over every rock to find as much tax money as possible.”

I would say they will start shutting down these hospitals by 2016 at the latest. What will happen to all their patients? The Democrats don’t give a damn. This is all about turning the United States into socialist, single party state like and other totalitarian nation in the last 100 years.

Healthcare experts warn that the Obamacare’s new requirements make it almost impossible for charitable hospitals to navigate treacherous new waters.

“Nonprofit hospitals should be advised that the new PPACA requirements will play a significant role in how they operate and report, specifically when it comes to billing and collections for services provided to the uninsured. The new law leaves many gray areas and hospitals themselves will have to establish eligibility criteria for financial assistance. Following the new procedures as best they can will ensure the best chance of maintaining their tax exempt status,” wrote D. Douglas Metcalf, partner at the law firm Lewis and Roca, in a 2013 op-ed entitled “Will nonprofit hospitals disappear under Obamacare?”

I think the answer to that is a great big YES. The whole point of this fiasco is to destroy the private health insurance system and create a single payer government controlled health system. If they succeed, the next step will be forcing all healthcare providers, that would be doctors and nurses, into government service. If you are a doctor making 6 figures a year, for all intents and purposes, you will be drafted into government service and get paid the same as an Army private. If you think there are shortages of medical people now, just wait a few years when the number of doctors in the United States is one tenth of what it is now.

This is not about “Helping the uninsured,” it’s all about turning the American People into slaves for the ruling elite. Harry Reid, the most corrupt and stupid Senate Majority Leader in living memory, let the cat out of the bag the other day. According to the Washington Times:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has come out and told the truth. The Las Vegas Sun reports that Reid has said that Obamacare is simply a stepping-stone for single payer healthcare. Obamacare is a trainwreck because it was designed to fail. Its failure will push us into single payer.

Single payer means the government controls the healthcare industry. Private insurance is simply gone. Single payer will destroy an American industry, and in the process it will destroy the best healthcare system in the world.

I’ve mentioned in the past about my experience in a government run hospital. When I first met Mrs. Webmaster, her father was in the hospital being treated for cancer. It was like going into something from the Middle Ages. A few years later, I had to spend a few days in the hospital. Mrs. Webmaster was stunned at what was provided. She came in with towels, blankets, all sorts of things. I told her that was all provided and that she didn’t need to bring anything. After that she started referring to the hospital as a hotel.

The American Medical system has some problems, most of them caused by the United States Government’s meddling in things they don’t understand. Obamacare needs to be stopped at all costs. And I might add, that there are five members of the United States Supreme Court who need to be removed, and if possible jailed for this decision. Chief Justice Roberts needs to be retired to the nearest supermax for the rest of his life, and he should be forced to have the healthcare he intends for the rest of us. Call your members of congress and tell them to kill Obamacare before it kills us.
