America held Hostage, Day 9 of the Obama Shutdown

Good day all, We are no in the 9^th day of the Hostage Crises. Barack Obama and Harry Reid, rather then try to work some sort of a compromise have actually doubled down. Harry Reid has announced that he wants a $1.1 TRILLION dollar increase in the debt authorization, no strings attached.

Needless to say, this isn’t going over well with the Republicans. To top that off, now the Progressive Liberal Democrats are saying that they will end the filibuster and ram through the authorization. According to Politico:

Senate Republicans began to warn Tuesday they would filibuster Democrats’ plan to raise the U.S. debt limit later this week. Liberal senators’ response? Gut the filibuster.

Liberals said Tuesday that there may be no other way out of a debt ceiling crisis than to invoke — or at least threaten to employ — the so-called nuclear option, an enormously contentious move that would allow the party to raise the national borrowing limit with 51 votes rather than 60.

Such a move would prompt howls of outrage from Republicans and could have dramatic implications for the future of the Senate. But it would allow Senate Democrats to pass a bill raising the borrowing limit through 2014 and shift the burden to the House GOP before a potentially devastating default on the $16.7 trillion national debt on Oct. 17.

No way out of the fiscal crises they caused? BOVINE DROPPINGS! This would simply be one more nail in the coffin of the American Republic. So who is pushing this disaster?

“The rules will have to change,” Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin said when asked how Democrats should respond if the GOP blocks the debt ceiling bill. “If we don’t [have the votes to break a filibuster], then I think it’s time to recognize the new realities that I have been talking about for a number of years. And the reality is that this ain’t your grandma’s Senate.”

Well now, there’s a big surprise. Harkin is a Communist no matter how much he denies it. When we last heard from this slimeball, he was looking at legislation to seize American’s 401K and IRA accounts. That went nowhere fast, fortunately for Harkin and the others. One thing that hasn’t happened is the “Leadership” getting on board with this. Reid may be utterly corrupt but he isn’t a complete idiot. The odds are quite good that the Progressive Liberal Democrats will lose the Senate in 2014 and you can bet your bottom dollar the Republicans will remember this. It’s probably a moot point anyway. Unless the authorization for this comes from the House, it doesn’t matter. There are about 20 squishes who can’t wait to roll over, but again, there is that 2014 election and a lot of these clowns are starting to get primary opposition.

As I wrote yesterday, there are no discussions ongoing with King Putt. He told Boehner that it was “My way or the Highway.” He probably thought the spineless crybaby would roll over yet again and surrender. Surprising everyone. Boehner took the highway.

Now, the Obama tyranny is ramping up the torment of Americans. They have stopped death benefits to the families of soldiers killed in action. This is on top of actions such as having the Nazi Park Police block off the War Memorials and National Mall, (Unless you are an Illegal Alien who demands amnesty, then they throw it wide open), kick people out of their homes, forcibly close business and lock up a number of elderly visitors in a hotel and not let them leave.

Oh, you haven’t heard about that one? Here are the details from the Eagle-Tribune:

Pat Vaillancourt went on a trip last week that was intended to showcase some of America’s greatest treasures. Instead, the Salisbury resident said she and others on her tour bus witnessed an ugly spectacle that made her embarrassed, angry and heartbroken for her country.

Vaillancourt was one of thousands of people who found themselves in a national park as the federal government shutdown went into effect on Oct. 1. For many hours her tour group, which included senior citizen visitors from Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States, were locked in a Yellowstone National Park hotel under armed guard.

The tourists were treated harshly by armed park employees, she said, so much so that some of the foreign tourists with limited English skills thought they were under arrest. When finally allowed to leave, the bus was not allowed to halt at all along the 2.5-hour trip out of the park, not even to stop at private bathrooms that were open along the route.

“We’ve become a country of fear, guns and control,” said Vaillancourt, who grew up in Lawrence. “It was like they brought out the armed forces. Nobody was saying, ‘we’re sorry,’ it was all like — ” as she clenched her fist and banged it against her forearm.

Someone should tell those thugs that this is a perfect way to get a violent reaction. People will not put up with this for much longer and someone will go after one of these jackbooted Gestapo scum. It’s one thing to have to tell people that they must leave the parks, and do so in a polite, apologetic manner, but what these animals are doing is what we see in any totalitarian regime. Once this shutdown is resolved, it may be time to look at disbanding the National Park Police and dismissing the staff. They have destroyed any credibility they might have had with these antics.

The Progressive Liberal Democrats showed their actual goals when they rammed Obamacare down the throats of the American People by using legislative chicanery and outright bribes. Now we are seeing their plan for an end game. Create a one party state at the federal, state and local levels, and end the Constitution once and for all. I have a bad feeling that if we have an election in 2014, it might be the last one. I hope I am utterly wrong and in need of a tin foil hat.
