Next under the bus, Chuck Hagel!

It’s been a while since Obama fired up his bus and threw someone under it. Former Veterans Administration head Eric Shinseki doesn’t count since he earned his dismissal. Nope, this time it’s the Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel who now has tire marks on his back.

A little background is in order. As you should know by now, Der Fubar decided it would be a great idea to trade five highly dangerous Taliban leaders for one army deserter. That promptly blew up in the SCoaMF’s face, literally in the Rose garden with the deserters parents. I’ve gone into the details of this disaster already and I don’t see the point in rehashing that part. What has been happening is King Putt’s spin controllers going into overdrive to protect Obama from his own stupidity. They have trotted out one lie after the other to explain away their breaking the law and releasing five people who are a clear and present danger to the United States. Now they have decided that Chuck Hagel needs to be the next fall guy. Here are the details from the Weekly Standard:

The last question asked at Monday night’s closed-door briefing of members of the House of Representatives was a simple one: Who made the decision to transfer five top Taliban officials held at Guantanamo Bay to Qatar in exchange for the return of the Taliban’s lone American POW, Army sergeant Bowe Bergdahl? According to Buck McKeon, the chairman of the House Armed Services committee, the Obama administration’s briefers told he gathered House members that the person responsible for the decision to make the deal was not President Obama but Chuck Hagel, the secretary of defense.

Thrown under the bus

And there is the engine on the bus revving up! Needless to say, Representative McKeon was having none of that!

“Now wait a minute, are you saying it was Secretary Hagel that made this decision, or was this the president of the United States?” McKeon, a California Republican, said to reporters. “It was the president of the United States that came out with the Bergdahls and took all the credit. And now that there’s been a little pushback, he’s moving away from it?”

But of course he’s moving away from it. Running away is more like it to be honest. Barack Obama has been caught out willfully endangering the American People as well as lying to congress about it. His first instinct is a quick bus trip with a bump or two in the road. However, someone forgot to tell Hagal he was being made the “Sacrificial Lamb” for Il Douche.

The administration’s claim that Hagel, not Obama, made the decision is at odds with what Hagel himself said on Meet the Press on June 1. “I signed off on the decision,” Hagel said. “The president made the ultimate decision.”

Hello, left hand? I want you to meet right hand. Right hand? Meet left hand. I think you two should get to know each other and find out what each of you is doing, Ok? Oh, don’t bother telling anything to those clowns in Congress. They aren’t important.

If the Obama administration is trying to put distance between the president and the deal, that appears to be the only thing House members learned at the hour-long briefing. Several congressmen told THE WEEKLY STANDARD that they remain frustrated that “about 80 or 90” people within the administration knew about the Bergdahl trade before it was announced on May 31, particularly considering none of the appropriate committee chairs or even House and Senate leadership were notified beforehand, save for Harry Reid.

“They couldn’t brief a single member of Congress because they didn’t trust us, yet the Qataris knew about it,” said Mike Pompeo, a Republican from Kansas. “It’s phenomenal.”

“They don’t appreciate that we now have five seniors Taliban leaders, which they concede, who in June of 2013 were viewed as ‘high rate of recidivism,’ and no evidence that they ever changed that evaluation. And yet they seem untroubled by the fact that those folks are sitting in Qatar capabale today of inflicting harm on the United States of American,” Pompeo said. And Tom Cotton of Arkansas, a Republican who is running for the Senate, said Monday night’s briefing offered nothing new and left questions unanswered.

Hey, just don’t blame Obama. It was all Hagel’s idea after all. Of course, King Putt’s court is backing him to the hilt.

Not all members, however, were upset about the lack of notification from the administration. Democrat Jan Schakowsky of Illinois said she was upset over the “demonization” of Bergdahl and the administration’s decision, which she called a “perfect solution.”

“I am completely mystified and quite frankly disgusted at the demonization of the soldier,” she said. Was Schakowsky referring to the several members of Bergdahl’s platoon who have come forward to say Bergdahl may have deserted and did not serve with “honor and distinction” on the battlefield? Schakowsky nodded her head.

“And I think the Republicans, too,” she added. “We don’t make a judgment about that when someone is captured or left on the battlefield.”

And now you can see the typical Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat in full flower. Schakowsky has just accused the people who were right there, on site, of lying. She doesn’t give a damn about this country or the people who defend it. It’s obvious, that she will always put the Democrat Party ahead of the country and the Constitution. She is a typical Chicago crook politician. There’s no way she will be voted out of office of course, she’s got herself a nice little rotten borough that will always vote for the PLFD. She isn’t the only moonbat who thinks it’s a great idea to ignore those pesky, inconvenient laws. We also have Louise Slaughter from New York.

Louise Slaughter, a New York Democrat, said she didn’t blame the administration for not notifying Congress. “I wouldn’t tell a secret to 435 people,” she said.

I would suspect most members of congress might agree, however your Lord and Master, King Putt could and should have notified the various intelligence oversight committees as well as the Speaker of the House. Obviously, not telling you is a good idea since you have just all but admitted you can’t be trusted to keep your big mouth shut.

This fiasco and the latest attempt to blame anyone else BUT Obama isn’t working. Most of the members of congress, other then the die hard dimwits like Slaughter and Schakowsky are furious at what happened. It isn’t just the lack of notification, it was the release of enemies who will attack us again and the outright lies of the Administration. People have been talking about impeaching Obama for years. Now that call is gathering steam. It probably won’t happen, but if the majority of people in this country demand the removal of Obama, Congress really won’t have a choice, no matter how much Crybaby Boehner would like to ignore it.

Oh yeas, Secretary of Defense Hagel? I would make sure your resume is up to date. I suspect you will be looking to spend more time with your family soon.
