White lies, Damn lies, and the Media

Good day all. In the continuing saga of the corrupt and tyrannical way that the PLFD’s shoved Obamacare down our throats, people have been asking why the Main Stream media didn’t cover what was actually going to be the results.

Well, now we are beginning to find out why. Recently, a former CNBC economics reporter, Melissa Francis, who now works at Fox Business Network spoke of her experiences at CNBC. Long story short, the management at CNBC told her to shut up with regards to the bad math that was Obamacare. Here are some of the details from Mediaite.com:

In light of #GruberGate, Fox Business Network anchor Melissa Francis opened up to her audience Friday afternoon about how CNBC, her former employer, “silenced” her for questioning the Affordable Care Act in its early stages. Francis began by railing against MIT economist Jonathan Gruber and the Obama Administration for “counting on” the stupidity and lack of understanding of economics on the part of American voters. She then said the administration has been shielded by a liberal media that has been covering up the truth, including the Associated Press, NBC, ABC, the Los Angeles Times and others, who have been “too happy to comply.”

We’ve always known that the Mostly Stupid Media, more commonly known as the Obama Steno Pool, has been totally in the tank for Obama and the PLFD’s. In point of fact, the three major networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC have been little more then propaganda organs for Obama and the Democrats for years. So what did happen to Ms. Francis?

It’s shocking, but it actually doesn’t surprise me because when I was at CNBC, I pointed out to my viewers that the math of Obamacare simply didn’t work. Not the politics by the way. But just the basic math. And when I did that, I was silenced. I said on the air that you couldn’t add millions of people to the system and force insurance companies to cover their pre-existing conditions without raising the price on everyone else. I pointed out that it couldn’t possibly be true that if you like your plan, you can keep it.

Oh horrors! Now I see what happened! Ms. Francis is guilty of telling the truth! And what was the results of this?

While asserting her predictions came true, she added that she was reprimanded by higher-ups at CNBC for “disrespecting the office of the president.”

“I can tell you first hand, they are willing participants in the campaign to keep the economic truth from you,” Francis added. “Don’t let them do it.”

Hence the reference to the MSM as the “Obama Steno Pool.”

Fox’s Howard Kurtz joined Francis and concurred with her judgments. He cited how the New York Times has not printed a story about Gruber’s comments, and decried the “head in the sand” approach that many media outlets have taken to the Gruber story.

The Obama Steno Pool is now actively covering up the outright crimes committed by Barack Hussein Obama and the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats. While I fully support the First Amendment, the Media also has a duty to seek out the truth with regards to the activities of our government, no matter which party is in power. Since Nixon and Watergate, the Media in general has been actively aiding any Democrat it can, unless their activities were so over the top that even they couldn’t ignore it.

Way back when, probably up to the mid to late 1950’s, you could find many different newspapers with a wide variety of political viewpoints. You knew just where each paper stood and could make a reasonably informed decision. If one paper wouldn’t report on a potential issue because it would harm “Their candidate,” you could rest assure that another one would rip into that issue with both barrels. Today, with few exceptions, that no longer happens.

I don’t know what legal remedies can be used against the Mainly Stupid Media or even if any should be tried. I know that they have significant legal protections against being sued for libel and slander. Perhaps that should be revisited by Congress. If a news organization is caught outright lying, then they can be sued by persons affected by those lies. Another possibility might be ending any form of governmental funding, usually through student loans, of these so called “Schools of Journalism.” A more appropriate name for them would be “Schools of Oppressive Propaganda.”

Honestly, I just don’t know, but I do want to see an honest debate into how the media handles major stories like this. As it is right now, the MSM is no longer considered credible by the majority of the American people. This is why you are seeing the rise of the alternative media such as the Drudge Report. The opposite is what is happening to news corporations like the new York Times. They have been teetering on the brink of bankruptcy and closure for a long time now. Why? No one is buying their crap papers any longer and this is causing advertisers to put their money in areas that will actually be seen by potential costumers.

Grubergate and Obamacare are not being covered by the MSM. These stories, and a lot of others such as the IRS scandal, Fast&Furious, etc. Are being covered by the alternative media. With the rise of the internet and the ease with which anyone can publish, the Progressive News Propaganda services are going the way of the dinosaur. It will take major structural changes with companies such as the New York Times and CNBC if they want to both remain relevant and in business. I don’t see that happening.
