John Boehner still doesn’t get it

Good day all. Even though the Republican Party will take control of both houses of Congress in a few weeks, it’s obvious that current Speaker of the House John Boehner still doesn’t “Get it.” Boehner pretty much wants to just go along to get along.

Currently, we’re dealing with Obama’s outright illegal illegal alien amnesty orders. Most of the people in this country, citizens and lawful residents, are outraged by what Il Douche has done and continues to do. In fact, by Obama’s very own words, the recent midterm election was all about him and his policies. Both were rejected overwhelmingly.

However, Crybaby Boehner is still refusing to consider doing what needs to be done to stop King Putt’s power grabs. Both he and that idiot McConnell have taken impeachment off the table, (Granted, as I’ve said before, the PLFD’s will never remove Obama under any circumstances), and have also said they won’t shut down the government.

dead rino

Myself, I don’t want to shut down the government….much, but I do understand that the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat’s propaganda arm, (Formally known as the Main Stream Media), will flat out lie and say it was the Republican’s fault. A number of other Republicans are also aware that they would be blamed, but they have ideas on how to deal with the SCoaMF’s lawbreaking without damaging the United States.

They want to use what is called “The Power of the Purse.” In other words, rather then come up with the usual “Comprehensive Omnibus Budget” bill that no one can actually understand, they want to break certain budgetary items out of the overall budget and deal with them individually. One of these is immigration and King Putt’s rule by decree. Boehner has essentially said no to that idea. According to Fox News:

House Speaker John Boehner announced plans Tuesday to effectively push off a looming battle over President Obama’s immigration policies until next year, while potentially averting a partial government shutdown later this month.

The speaker met behind closed doors Tuesday with fellow Republicans. Boehner is attempting a balancing act — as he tries to avert a budget showdown, while also letting conservatives vent over the president’s controversial executive actions on immigration.

Boehner might have an idea or two here, but frankly, no one trusts him. He has a plan, such as it is, on dealing with the issues.

The plan, as of Tuesday, is a two-step approach. The House would vote later this week for a largely symbolic measure disapproving Obama’s executive actions to suspend deportations for millions of immigrants here illegally. The bill would try to block those actions, but would certainly face a presidential veto, if it made it past the Senate.

Boehner and the RINO’s are very good with symbolic votes that achieve nothing. To continue with Baldric’s Boehner’s cunning plan.

The House would then vote next week on a must-pass spending bill, with a twist. The plan would fund most elements of the government for the remainder of the current fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30, 2015. But, under one proposal, it would only fund immigration-related activities until early next year — setting up a new fight over immigration in early 2015, when Republicans control both the House and Senate.

So Boehner’s cunning plan is yet another continuing resolution. Perhaps this moron should consider actually doing his job for once and putting forward a full budget for the remainder of the year. Granted, Reid will kill it as he’s murdered every other budget bill sent to the senate, but that would place the onus on Dingy Harry.

harry-reid-finger

If Boehner’s wants to be clever, then he can send a continuing resolution that’s good until February, then push a real budget through the new senate controlled by the Republicans. He could also strip out the funding for the Immigration part of the CR and send that over to Reid as a separate funding bill with the funding for Obama’s Executive Order stripped out. Of course, clever is not Boehner’s middle name.

He also said lawmakers “have limited options and abilities to deal with it directly.” It’s unclear whether Boehner’s plan has enough support.

The-Good-Idea-Fairy-3

That plan probably doesn’t have the support it needs from the rank and file and it most certainly won’t in the next Congress.

Some conservatives want more; they circulated bill language Monday stipulating that no money or fees “may be used by any agency to implement, administer, enforce or carry out any of the policy changes” announced by Obama.

I haven’t read that bill, but it sounds like what most people want, which is stopping Obama. Then we have Nancy Pelosi, bless her heart, throwing her two cents in.

Meanwhile, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi put Republicans on notice last week that her party wouldn’t support a plan that didn’t fund the government for the entire fiscal year and also chipped away at some immigration-related activities.

double-facepalm

Go home Nancy, you’re senile. Two things here with San Fran Nan’s threats. First, her party is out of power now, thanks in a large part to her own actions. There isn’t anything she can do to stop the Republicans from sending a bill to the Senate. Second, if a bill funding the majority of the government is sent through, and the bill is killed by Harry Reid, it can be played up by the GOP to show that it’s the Democrats who want to shut down the government. It would be perfectly reasonable to just send through a short term continuing resolution to tide most of the government over until next year.

Now here is the problem. Doing anything I’ve suggested would require courage on the part of Boehner, and that is something he isn’t noted for. If the conservative wing pushes for a short term continuing resolution along with stripping out spending authority for Obama’s illegal orders, Boehner might just seek out Democrats to push through his version. From Boehner’s and McConnell’s point of view, that would be the “safe” thing to do. It would also probably cost Boehner his speakership next year.

Hmm, now that I think it through…
