Obama can’t be bothered to attend Scalia funeral

Good day all. Last week, Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia passed away. I won’t bother going into the politics now underway. This is not the time. Instead, it is the time for mourning a great man and constitutional scholar…

Unless you’re Barack Hussein Obama. It has come out that Barack Obama, the President of the United States, can’t be bothered to attend the funeral of Antonin Scalia. Needless to say, this is causing a bit of a backlash against King Putt. Here are some of the details from Fox News:

The White House is not confirming whether President Obama will attend the funeral Saturday for the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, raising the possibility — and criticism — that he’ll skip the service.

What is so hard about this? There shouldn’t even be a question on his attending or not. The fact that it’s even being asked shows what most people think about Obama’s arrogance and narcissism.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest revealed to reporters Wednesday that the president and first lady Michelle Obama plan to pay “respects” at the Supreme Court on Friday, where Scalia will lie in repose. But as for Saturday’s funeral, he said, “Vice President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden will attend.”

While I fully expect the Vice President to attend, this is something a president should attend. VP’s generally go to foreign leaders funerals. The only reason for a sitting president not to attend a funeral of someone like Scalia is if something critical comes up and can’t be rescheduled. Now people a slamming Obama for his insult to the Scalia family.

Refusing to attend the funeral does more than insult the memory of a life-long public servant. It is a failure to perform a basic presidential duty. Obama has shirked his responsibility to all of us,” Charles Lipson, professor of political science at the University of Chicago, said in a column for Real Clear Politics Thursday.

Congratulations Professor. You have just discovered something that most of America and the world has known for years. Obama doesn’t care about full filling his duties as president. He would rather go on vacation and badmouth Republicans.

It is rare for a sitting Supreme Court justice to die during any administration. But in recent history, the sitting president has attended these funerals. George W. Bush attended the funeral of Chief Justice William Rehnquist in 2005, and Dwight Eisenhower did the same for Chief Justice Fred Vinson in 1953.

And what’s the difference between G.W. Bush and Dwight Eisenhower, and Barack Obama? They understood that the presidency is about the nation, not about them. For Obama, it’s only about him. Anything or anyone else is less than nothing as far as he’s concerned. And what do you think is so important that Der Fubar can’t be bothered to attend the funeral? I’ll give you three guesses, but you’ll only need one.

Asked if he could rule out the possibility of golf, Earnest said, “I don’t have a sense of what the president’s plans are for Saturday.” He said the White House would have “some more details” about the president’s plans for Friday and Saturday later.

Yeah, I do believe that Il Douche would play golf instead of paying his respects to the family of Justice Scalia. He is that petty.

The president obviously believes it’s important for the institution of the presidency to pay his respects to somebody who dedicated three decades of his life to the institution of the Supreme Court,” he added.

Unless it interferes with his scheduled tee time.

And the president gave some pretty thoughtful words in discussing Justice Scalia’s service on the Supreme Court, not just Saturday night but also yesterday in his news conference. And Friday will be an important opportunity for the president and the first lady to pay their respects to Justice Scalia.”

Do you want to know how questionable this decision is of Obama to not go to the funeral? Even MSNBC is questioning it.

Chris Hayes, host of MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes,” tweeted: “Some amazing advice my mom gave me once: ‘If you’re wondering whether you should to go the funeral, you should go to the funeral.’”

Not in Obamaland. If there is a choice between attending a funeral of someone he not only didn’t like, but despised or playing a round of golf, the golf course will always win out.

Los Angeles Times opinion writer Michael McGough raised this possibility in calling the decision a “dumb political move.”

By attending the funeral Obama would have underscored the importance of nonpartisanship when it comes to the court. That could only have helped him make the case that the Republican-controlled Senate has a duty to give fair consideration to the person he nominates to succeed Scalia,” he wrote.

If you think Obama gives a damn what the Republicans think, I have a bridge in New York you might be interested in buying. He doesn’t have to do anything. He knows that McConnell will roll over and push through whatever totalitarian Marxist idiot he sends up for confirmation. That craven coward is already trying to walk back his “No new justices until the new president is sworn in!” remarks.

Obama’s refusal to attend the funeral is just standard operating procedure. A justice who upheld the original construction of the constitution, one who didn’t believe that the Constitution is either a “Living document,” or an obsolete piece of paper that is meaningless in today’s world, is someone who can be ignored.

Now if it had been one of the left wing justices, such as Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, who doesn’t approve of the United States Constitution, you can bet your bottom dollar that Obama would be there and crying like a little baby. Obama is nothing more that trailer trash, just like the Clintons and pretty much most of the Democrats these days.
