Good day all. Last night Donald J. Trump became the Republican nominee for the presidency of the United States. Senator Ted Cruz lost the Indiana primary so decisively that he has “suspended” his campaign.
Since Cruz suspended his campaign last night, and frankly catching a number of people by surprise, the suicide hotlines around the country have been overloaded as the Establishment Republicans suddenly understand that it’s all over for them.
The pundits, such as George Will and Charles Krauthammer, along with Karl Rove and other campaign consultants, are now climbing into the fridge and waiting for the nuke to go off. George Will especially has gone totally off the rails, demanding that the GOP(e) do everything it can to give Hillary Clinton a 50 state victory in November.
I’ve been reading a number of blogs and others this morning who were firmly in the #NeverTrump camp basically stating they were going to sit out the election even if it means giving it to that criminal, Hillary Cankles Clinton. The denial of reality by the GOP(e) class is bordering on insanity.
Now the big question is, what happens next? While it is possible that Trump might arrive at the convention a few delegates short of a lock, with all the other candidates throwing in the towel, with the exception of John Kasich, (More on him later), the fact is, Trump is the nominee.
On the Democrat side of things, there was another shock to the system. Cankles lost to Comrade Bernie again. From what I recall, she was leading in the polls and was looking at winning in Indiana as the tool needed to finish off that annoying communist. Once again, it didn’t work out that way. Hillary Cankles Clinton will be the Democrat nominee, unless she is indicted. That was arranged before she even formally announced her candidacy.
The only issue is her tendency to keep losing to Sanders. Because of the way the Democrats rig things, she had all the delegates she needed to be nominated before the first vote was cast, thanks to the Super Delegates. Take those away and the Democrat race would be a true horse race between the crook and the communist.
Now, what about all these stories about a brokered convention and floor fights we’ve been hearing about? Well, with Cruz pulling out, the anticipated floor fights at the Republican convention probably won’t happen. No, where there might be a floor fight will be at the Democrat Convention if Sanders keeps holding his own and winning primaries.
His supporters will come in screaming about a rigged vote and that the fix was in. They will be right of course. As I mentioned, Clinton had the race all sewed up before the first ballot was cast. Going through the various blogs this morning, people are saying that it’s time for Sanders to pull the plug. I don’t think he will now, he’s having way to much fun poking the Democrat Establishment in the eye.
So, what happens next? Now that Trump is the nominee and Clinton is the probable nominee, Trump is going to redirect his fire at Clinton. Hillary Clinton has been getting a pass from the media and her own party for decades. Even Bernie Sanders, who had a number of issues he could have used to beat her into the ground, wouldn’t use them. Donald Trump will not be so kind.
This is probably another reason Trump took off last fall and never looked back. The GOP(e)’s favorites, Jeb? Bush followed by Scott Walker, Chris Christie and Marco Rubio would probably not hammered Hillary Clinton the way Trump will. (Christie is the one who may have, but he’s always come across as a bully) Bush wouldn’t have laid a glove on Cankles, while she would have kneed him in the groin, hanging his brother and father on him.
The GOP(e) is now being told that they now have to get in line and support the nominee. This isn’t what was supposed to happen. For the last 25+ years, since Reagan retired, the GOP(e) has put up one wishy washy milquetoast wimp after another, and have lost almost every single time. Take Mittens Romney…Please!
In 2012, the race was Romney’s to lose and he managed to do just that. When he and Obama had the first debate, Romney hammered him. Many people, myself included, thought “Wow! He might actually do alright!” However, Romney is a paid up member of the Republican Establishment. He saw what he did to Obama in that first debate and promptly corrected his presentation back to his preferred wishy washy wimpy milquetoast style and promptly blew a winnable election.
Donald Trump won’t make that mistake. He is going to nail Hillary with everything, including the kitchen sink. Her enabling of husband Bill Clinton’s philandering, her destruction of women who presented any kind of a threat to Bill, and more recently, her actions with the Benghazi fiasco and her email issues. To top that all off, Trump will probably look into Hillary Clinton’s probable selling of her office as Secretary of State.
No, Hillary Clinton is going to get slammed. Normally the Mostly Stupid Media would pull out all the stops to protect her. Not this time. They may want to and you can rest assured that they will go after Trump with everything they have. The problem here is that Trump won’t back down and will fight back. If the media tries to cover up Cankles crimes and incompetence, Trump will go after them as well as Clinton. This election is going to be EPIC!
