Good day all. As I was working on my last post, I saw something about Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan threatening to sue of Trump, as President, banned Immigration by Muslims.
The background on this goes back to Donald Trump saying that he would stop immigration by Muslims, until we could figure out what was going on and how to get them vetted. Considering the recent attacks by Islamic Terrorists, the latest just last weekend, this makes a lot of sense. However, Paul Ryan disagrees. Here are the details from Talking Points Memo:
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) has made clear he doesn’t agree with a proposal put forward by Donald Trump — whom Ryan has endorsed — to ban Muslim immigration into the United States, but in an interview with the Huffington Post Thursday, Ryan floated taking a President Trump to court if he tried to implement such a ban or some of his other controversial proposals unilaterally.
“I would sue any president that exceeds his or her powers,” Ryan said in a back-and-forth about Trump’s claims that he could implement a Muslim ban or build a Mexican border wall without congressional approval.
There is a question on Trump being able to unilaterally build the wall or ban Islamic immigration. I’ve heard, at least on the immigration question, that the President does have the authority to close down immigration for groups and countries. I’m not schooled in that part of Immigration Law, so I will wait for others to comment. However, the issue here is Ryan’s threat and his utter tone deafness on what Americans want. Of course, Ryan is making his usual RINO excuses.
Ryan said he wasn’t sure of the “legal question” of whether Trump could institute a Muslim ban on his own as president.
“That’s a legal question that there’s a good debate about,” he said, citing the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act.
Fine, lets look into it shall we? In the mean time, how about we do something to keep illegal aliens out and more importantly, deal with the proven threat of Radical, (Is there any other kind?) Islam.
“On the broader question, are we going to exert our Article I powers and reclaim this Article I power no matter who the president is? Absolutely,” Ryan said. He also said he discussed the limits of the executive power with Trump.
Oh, so the Never Trump(er) is going to wait until President Trump takes office before reasserting Congressional responsibilities? Why wait? Why not do it know and start reigning in Barack Obama? Oh, I know. Ryan is a nothing more than Obama’s ass kissing knob polisher and won’t do anything to stop him. However, since he hates Donald Trump???
“I am going to keep being who I am, I am going to keep speaking out on things where I think it’s needed, where our principles need to be defended, and I am going to keep doing that, I hope it’s not necessary,” Ryan said. “But the last thing I want to see is another Democrat in the White House”
What you are, Ryan is a scumbag. You have done nothing to stop Obama, and in fact have rolled over, dropped your pants and presented your anus to him for a good sodomizing. There is a reason you have a primary opponent. You have betrayed your country and your constituents. You are nothing more than a bought and paid for servant of the Open Borders crowd.
If you and the rest of the scum in congress force Trump to keep letting terrorists into the nation, more and more people will be killed. You might want to try reading the Constitution, (For once), on the definition of Treason. Your statement, in today’s environment, could be construed as giving willful aid and comfort to our enemies in time of war.
