Good day all. The fallout from the horrendous terrorist attack in Nice, France earlier this week continues. Recently, ISIS, to now one’s surprise, announced that they were responsible for the attack that left 84 people dead and hundreds injured. No real surprise there of course.
Then we have the Prime Minister of France, Manuel Valls. He announced that people will just have to live with being slaughtered by Jihadi Ragheads. Valls made this pronouncement while swinging from a tree, eating cheese and waving a white flag.
The reaction to his remarks have been, to say the least, harsh. Here are the details from RT.com:
Social media reacted with anger to French Prime Minister Manuel Valls’ assertion that France “will have to live with terrorism.” Users shamed the PM, saying that more people apparently need to be killed in terror attacks to wake up the French government. Valls made the statement following the attack in Nice that killed at least 84 people and injured dozens.
“Times have changed, and France is going to have to live with terrorism, and we must face this together and show our collective sang-froid,” he said. “France is a great country and a great democracy and we will not allow ourselves to be destabilized.”
And the French wonder why their stuck with the sobriquet “Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys.”
However, Valls’ assumption that “France-is-going-to-have-to-live-with-terrorism” hasn’t amused French social media, and possibly bolstered France’s reputation as a country that surrenders at the drop of a hat. Users are apparently livid, taking the PM’s remarks to mean that the French government doesn’t plan to take on the extremists, but simply call on its citizens to learn to live with the threat.
There are a number of tweets listed from Twitter in the article. Unfortunately, they are in French with a few translations. Suffice to say that Valls political career may be concluding. There are a number of people demanding that he resign. To be honest, his remarks have not helped the situation one bit, and may have just insured that the “Right” will win the next series of elections in France.
The French people have had enough and if the more nationalist and populist political parties win, I suspect that there will be a general roundup of unassimilated Muslims followed by their deportations back to the Middle East. The sheer stupidity of the political elites in France, Germany and the European Union have directly led to these attacks by Muslims. With the remarks by this idiot, and others like him, well, we may be seeing Europe looking at trading in their Birkenstocks for Jackboots in the next year or two.
