Good day all. President-Elect Trump is continuing the process of building his administration. He is also formalizing some of his policies. However, there seems to be a few people in Congress that haven’t quite figured out that some things just aren’t going to happen.
One of these things is the Trans Pacific Partnership, or as it is more commonly known, the TPP. The TPP is a massive trade deal that has been percolating for most of the Obama regime. I think the groundwork actually started under GW Bush. However, the trade deal has been “negotiated” if you can call it that, in total secrecy. What has leaked out has angered many people on both sides of the political aisle.
Even during the Election, Felonia von Pantsuit came out against it, although it’s since come out that she was lying about her opposition. (Shocking, I know) President-Elect Trump has also come out against it, and he actually is opposed to it. Recently, one of the biggest boosters of this “Deal”, Barack Obama, announced that the TPP is dead, Unfortunately, someone seems to have forgotten the RINO contingent of the Congress. U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady on Tuesday said Republicans should defend free trade and the party should defend the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) in the new Congress.
“Republicans are going to continue to support the freedom to trade,” the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee said.
When it comes to the controversial TPP, which president-elect Donald Trump has opposed, Brady said the plan was defensible.
“Don’t withdraw, renegotiate,” he told a panel of the Wall Street Journal CEO Council. “There is plenty that levels the playing field. Renegotiate. Fix the problems that exist today. Let’s find a way to move forward.”
It seems someone didn’t get the memo. The TPP is dead and for a good reason. It’s a bad deal for everyone. A number of the “partners” are finally taking a look at what the negotiators cooked up in secret and are horrified. The only people that really support this are the super rich types who, frankly, only care about their personal wealth, and those companies that will do well under it. For pretty much everyone else?
No one is opposed to trade. The problem is that all these trade deals cooked up over the last 25 years have been terrible for the United States. Basically, we have been freely trading American jobs for…funny, I can’t think of anything that benefited the average American worker.
No, what people want, and why Donald Trump is our next president, is fair trade deals. Deals where we benefit, and is generally a good deal for all partners involved. Not just the Ruling Billionaire Globalist and Chamber of Commerce elites.
TPP is dead Representative. Deal with it. I know where you can get a therapy puppy. Some milk and cookies, a coloring book, play-doh and if you really need it, a diaper pin.
