Good day all. This post ties in nicely with my previous one on the stupidity of the French. In the previous post, the president of France, Francois Hollande announced that Trump would not be allowed to scrap the recent climate deal.
Now we have another French has been, Nicholas Sarkozy, saying that if the United States pulls out of this agreement, then Europe should impose a carbon tax on all U.S. Products. Here are the details of this foolishness from Yahoo News:
Former French President Nicholas Sarkozy suggested Europe impose a carbon tax on all U.S. products if President-elect Donald Trump pulled the country out of the Paris climate change agreement.
I wonder if this moron understands that we would retaliate big time? Probably not, since he is a moron.
Over 100 countries have ratified the 2015 Paris deal to curb carbon emissions in an effort to tackle climate change. Trump, a climate change denier, promised to withdraw from the agreement during his campaign.
And one country hasn’t ratified the deal, and that would be the United States. The Paris deal has not been submitted to the United States Senate, therefore it has no force of law. Of course, Sarkozy isn’t considering this. After all, he thinks that The European Union actually matters.
Speaking to French broadcaster TF1, Sarkozy said late Sunday: “Donald Trump has said – we’ll see if he keeps this promise — that he won’t respect the conclusions of the Paris climate agreement. Well, I will demand that Europe put in place a carbon tax at its border, a tax of 1-3 percent, for all products coming from the United States, if the United States doesn’t apply environmental rules that we are imposing on our companies.”
I wonder how many of those companies will still be there in a few years? Or even still in business? Thanks to the ever increasing regulations, companies can’t make any money. Also, thanks to those regulations, it’s almost impossible to fire anyone. And of course, compared to the United States, European productivity is a joke compared to Americans. Then Sarkozy shows why he is no longer the President of France.
Sarkozy, who is running for presidency again, also reportedly warned that Europe cannot afford to be “weak” or “naïve” when it comes to free movement of people and trade, referring to Trump’s promises of putting the American worker first and preventing jobs from going to foreign employees.

Trump is looking for a quick exit from the Paris deal, Reuters reported Sunday, citing an anonymous source who is part of the president-elect’s transition team. The source said the real estate mogul was looking for ways to bypass the four-year procedure to exit the agreement.
“It was reckless for the Paris agreement to enter into force before the election,” the source, who works with Trump on international energy and climate policy, said.
Only for the French and other members of the Eurotrash ruling elite. For us, all it will take is Trump saying “We will not be a part of this suicide pact, so we’re out.” Again, since it wasn’t ratified by the Senate, as far as we’re concerned, there is no enforceable contract.
Trump, during his campaign, called President Barack Obama’s speech at the Paris climate talks “one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen, or perhaps most naïve.”
Actually, and I think President-Elect Trump knows this, (He’s just to polite to say it out loud…yet), Obama’s sole goal during his eight year reign of error has been nothing less than the diminution of the United States and reducing us to just another European style socialist state.
The outgoing president said in November last year, “When it comes to climate change, that hour is almost upon us. But if we act here, if we act now, if we place our own short-term interests behind the air that our young people will breathe, and the food that they will eat, and the water that they will drink, and the hopes and dreams that sustain their lives, then we won’t be too late for them.”
Trump, who was then a frontrunner in the Republican race, told CNN: “I think one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard in politics, in the history of politics as I know it, which is pretty good, was Obama’s statement that our No 1 problem is global warming.”
And, of course, President-Elect Trump was correct. It was a dumb statement and generally sums up the entire Obama maladministration. The Moonbats used to scream “The Sky is falling” “The Earth is going to burn up” until global temperatures actually didn’t rise all that much. Repeated screams of “Global Warming!” were buried under massive blizzards and snow drifts.
Since people stopped listening to Global Warming is evil, (Usually while digging out from the last blizzard), they decided to try a new tact. Climate Change. Instead of blaming everything on man made global warming, they are now trying to blame everything on man made climate change. Here’s the problem. The climate has been changing since the Earth developed an atmosphere.
People have wised up to what Global Warming and Climate Change was all about. It’s a money grab by Liberal elitists with a side order of reducing everyone into little European style serfs. As the recent election has just so amply demonstrated, America is telling the Eurotrash to take a hike. This follows on the heels of the recent Brexit.
Sarkozy might want to take a look at the polls. People in Europe have grown tired of the Ruling Elite’s crap and are starting to vote them out of office. It will be interesting to see how the next series of elections in Europe turn out. I suspect Sarkozy will remain on the political unemployment line, joined by others such as Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel.
