Democrats and Computer security…

Or, Here we go again! Good day all. I first heard about this story last week when news came out that three IT workers who managed computers for the Democrats in Congress had been suspended. I didn’t think much of it at the time.

Then more information came out and, as they say in Margaritaville, the “Shinola has hit the fan!” The three IT workers were brothers. The systems they apparently accessed without authorization were assigned to Democrats on the House Intelligence committee. There’s more of course, and here are the details from The Daily Caller:

Three brothers who managed office information technology for members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and other lawmakers were abruptly relieved of their duties on suspicion that they accessed congressional computers without permission.

What is it with the Democrats and computer security? First we have Felonia von Pantsuit and her private basement server that was hacked by pretty much everyone. Then we had Podesta handing his password over to someone who cleaned out his email account. Oh his password? It was P@ssw0rd.

There were a number of others, including the Democrat National Committee getting their system ransacked. Interestingly, while there were reports of attempts to get into the Republican systems, apparently, the hackers weren’t able to. I guess this means that Republican computer users are smarter than Progressive Democrat computer users. And just who were these three brothers anyway?

Brothers Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives Thursday, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned.

Oh terrific. Locking the door after the horses have left the barn, gone to the county fair, picked up some girl horses and partied all night long and are now facing paternity suits. Why these three were even hired is a major question, and just what did they get their hands on anyway?

Also among those whose computer systems may have been compromised is Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Florida Democrat who was previously the target of a disastrous email hack when she served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 campaign.

Going through the list, these three had access to information that many members of Congress to have access to. I’m sure these three were properly vetted before being allowed to access the computers in question.

Abid Awan has a prior criminal record and a bankruptcy.

Signs of trouble have long been visible in public records. The Congressional Credit Union repossessed Abid’s car in 2009, and he declared bankruptcy in 2012, facing multiple lawsuits.

What possessed the Democrat in letting these people anywhere near Capitol Hill, never mind computer systems and networks with sensitive information on them?

Jamal, who public records suggest is only 22 years old and first began working in the House when he was 20, was paid nearly $160,000 a year, or three times the average House IT staff salary, according to InsideGov, which tracks congressional salaries. Abid was paid $161,000 and Imran $165,000.

Where can I get a job like this? This is exactly what I do, and I’ve never made that much. But then, Progressive Democrats. It’s not like it’s their money they’re wasting, is it?

Jack Langer, spokesman for the intelligence committee, said the committee office has its own IT staff and security measures and classified information from the panel is not allowed to be sent to members’ personal offices.

Yeah, sure. Like I believe this. Wait, I don’t. I have no doubt these three and, apparently, their sister were rampaging through these systems for information and no doubt they found plenty. We recently had a raid into Yemen go wrong, with a Navy SEAL killed along with a little girl. The information is that the terrorists knew they were coming and waiting for them.
