Dianne Feinstein voted off the progressive island

Good day all. It looks like Senior Senator from the People’s Republic of Kalifornistan has lost the confidence of the proletariat. The Kalifornistan People’s Democrat Party has declined to endorse the old moonbat.

Dianne Feinstein, or “DiFi” as she is known, has a long history of generally backing the power of government over the rights of individuals. She has repeatedly pushed bills to strip the 2nd Amendment out of the constitution and end private ownership of firearms. She’s also never met a tax hike she didn’t love and a bureaucracy she didn’t want to expand. However, it seems she isn’t moving into Communist terriroty fast enough for the Marxists of Kalifornistan. Here are the details of what happened recently from The Washington Times:

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein failed to win the official endorsement of the California Democratic Party as she seeks her fifth term in Washington, but her supporters say it won’t hurt her with a broader swath of voters.

Oh I wouldn’t be so sure about that. DiFi is a “Jurassic Senator.” She’s in her mid 80’s, and honestly, probably won’t finish another term in the Senate. Of course, that’s the goal of the “Senior members of congress.” To die in office and be treated as part of the ruling class as is their due. That’s been the problem for the Democrats in Congress for the last 15 years. They’re dinosaurs and pretty much fossilized.

Party activists were more eager to back her primary challenger, state Senate leader Kevin de Leon, who is crafting himself as a fresh face with stronger progressive credentials. However, he too failed to earn the 60 percent support he needed to win the endorsement.

A fresh face? I’ve never heard of him so I guess that’s accurate. Stronger Progressive Credentials? I guess that means he’s a Stalinist and not a Trotskyite? These days, the goal of Progressives is to progress Americans into serfdom. The fact that he didn’t win 60 percent either doesn’t mean much. From what I’ve been reading, the Communists Democrats in Kalifornistan have a plethora of Progressives this year.

That means neither candidate will get the party’s seal of approval or extra campaign cash leading into the June primary. The decision came from more than 3,000 activists gathered for the party’s annual convention this weekend, an event aimed at generating enthusiasm for the midterm elections.

For Feinstein, it’s the first time she’s failed to win the party’s backing since her first successful U.S. Senate campaign in 1994. But she also has never faced a credible primary challenger. This time around, there’s no Republican running in the contest, meaning a showdown between de Leon and Feinstein was likely from the start.

There is no Republican party in Kalifornistan and longer. They self destructed decades ago. Kalifornistan is essentially a one party state, with all the problems that brings. All you have out there is the hard left, and the harder left.

Feinstein, the so-called establishment pick, touted her long record in Washington and seniority on important committees as a benefit to California. She also highlighted her track record fighting for a ban on assault weapons, including her successful 1994 bill to do so, and her work to protect U.S. gymnasts from sexual assault.

DiFi’s so called “Work to protect Gymnasts” is better known as “Locking the barn door after the horse has bolted, run to the next county, and made merry with all the fillies there and then died of old age. As for DiFi’s first attempt at banning the 2nd Amendment? That law expired after 10 years and has been determined to be an utter and completely expected failure. Of course, the goal with that ban was to get a foot in the door for a total ban on private ownership of firearms and the then confiscation. However, that’s something for another day.

De Leon, meanwhile, has argued Feinstein has lost touch with progressive California values and hasn’t fought hard enough for young immigrants brought to the country illegally.

It should never take a primary challenge for California’s leadership to stand up for California values,” he told delegates ahead of the vote.

Barking Moonbat

And here we see just where De Leon stands. It isn’t with the Constitution, it isn’t with national sovereignty and it certainly isn’t with American citizens. Basically, he’s a traitor to the nation. Granted, he hasn’t reached the constitutional level of the definition, but he has surpassed the generally accepted meaning of the term, just like pretty much everyone in the left these days.

It will be an interesting election out there in the land of the Fruits and the Nuts. it’s entirely possible that Dianne Feinstein will lose and be sent into exile along with her friends, Bubba Horndog and Felonia von Pantsuit. As for the Democrat Party? I expect them to change their party’s logo from the donkey to the hammer and sickle in the next few years…to better reflect their true nature.
