Good day all. As you are aware, there has been a virtual war between the Progressive thugs running Kalifornistan, (Into the ground), and the Trump administration regarding Illegal aliens.
The Kalifornistan Politboro recently passed a bill, and Comrade General Secretary Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown signed into law, a decree that would criminalize aiding federal authorities in rounding criminal aliens. The war of words has led to direct action by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, (ICE), who have been raiding businesses and households known to have illegals working or living there. Now the Mayor of Oakland has shown just who she supports, and it isn’t American citizens or legal resident aliens. Here are the details from Fox News:
The mayor of a sanctuary city in California issued a warning that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) could be conducting a raid in the area as soon as Sunday — ratcheting up tension with the feds while giving her constituents an early heads-up.
Libby Schaaf, the Democratic mayor of Oakland, shared the warning — which she said she “learned from multiple credible sources” — in a press release on Saturday, “not to panic our residents but to protect them,” Fox 2 reported.
The mayor said she didn’t know further details of the ICE operation, but claimed she felt it was her “duty and moral obligation as Mayor to give those families fair warning when that threat appears imminent.”
The laws mentioned in the Fox News story make it a crime to aid federal authorities in enforcing federal immigration laws. The problem here, at least for the Progressives, is that immigration is a federal responsibility and federal law trumps, (No pun intended), state law in this instance. Basically, the Moonbats in the Kalifornistan Legislature have created a “Damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation.
Her tweet on Saturday aligned with previous reports that law enforcement officials in Northern California would not cooperate with ICE, and noted state law “prohibits business owners from assisting ICE agents in immigration enforcement and bars federal agents from accessing employee-only areas.”
The other problem is that the mayor has just violated federal law and could be looking at 5 years or more in a federal prison. Specifically, this screeching moonbat violated 8 U.S. Code § 1324 – Bringing in and harboring certain aliens. Here is the statute courtesy of Cornell Law:
8 U.S. Code § 1324 (a) (1) (A) (iii)
Any person who, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).
8 U.S. Code § 1324 (a) (1) (B) (ii)
A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), (iv), or (v)(II), be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
This moron may have given President Trump the opening he needs to deal with the nuts in Kalifornistan. I don’t know what the exact process is, but Attorney General Sessions needs to pull his thumb out and put this in front of a Federal grand jury.
Schaaf, who is seeking reelection, said in January that she’d be willing to go to jail to defend the city’s sanctuary city status, and has openly opposed the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
So Schaaf is willing to go to jail? Is she thinking this is going to be a few months in a country club prison in Florida with a golf course? She’s looking at a minimum of 5 years, and if the federal prosecutors stack charges, which they love to do, she could theoretically spend the rest of her life behind bars. Of course, she doesn’t see it that way since she is just another delusional moonbat.
And California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who’s running for governor, commended Schaaf’s public warning, telling SFGate: “We can and must protect immigrant families from Donald Trump’s mass deportations. I want to thank Mayor Schaaf for her courage and hope more local leaders will follow her lead.”
Newsom is even nuttier then Jerry Moonbeam Brown. The way things are going, there is going to be a major incident out there, and it won’t end well for the Progressive Democrats. The entire Democrat Party is moving to the hard left, rivaling the Soviet Union. They are actively working to end the United States as a free, constitutional republic and they think Kalifornistan will lead the way.
What will happen, under the worst case scenario, is state of California is declared in rebellion, martial law is instituted, and a general house cleaning occurs. By that I mean every single elected and appointed official is either arrested or tossed out of office. Police are either disbanded, or federalized and you end up with U.S. Marines in the streets dealing with the criminal element in their usual manner. Air strikes and artillery.
The Democrat party started the Civil war in 1861. They are well on their way to starting the second one. They think that if it happens, this time they’ll win. What will happen is they’ll lose again and even worse then the last time. This time, there will be no reconciliation, only retaliation. Mayor Schaaf thinks she is so brave, but she is just another criminal who needs to be tried for her actions.
