Good day all. Last week I wrote about the Mayor of Oakland, Kalifornistan who sent out a warning that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were going to pickup illegal aliens. Thanks to her criminal behavior, hundreds of illegal aliens were able to get away.
However, no thanks to that treasonous mayor, ICE was still able to grab a couple of hundred criminal aliens, including a number of violent felons, many wanted for very serious felonies. Here are the details from Fox News:
A sweep of Northern California by federal immigration officials this week, which was partly thwarted when the Oakland mayor sounded the alarm, nabbed a number of illegal immigrants convicted of a variety of serious and violent crimes.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials announced this week that the four-day raid led to the arrest of 232 illegal immigrants in the San Francisco Bay Area. Of those 232, 180 “were either convicted criminals, had been issued a final order of removal and failed to depart the United States, or had been previously removed” from the country and had come back illegally.
Another 115 “had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, such as child sex crimes, weapons charges and assault, or had past convictions for significant or multiple misdemeanors.”
These are the vermin that the Sanctuary movement wants to protect? Pedophiles, rapists and murderers?
The numbers might have been greater, but for the intervention of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, who tweeted out a warning of the impending raid, tipping off others who might have been caught. Acting ICE Director Tom Homan said on “Fox & Friends” that Schaaf’s warning meant that there are roughly 800 illegal immigrants they were unable to locate.
“What she did is no better than a gang lookout yelling ‘police’ when a police cruiser comes in the neighborhood, except she did it to a whole community. This is beyond the pale,” he said.
It seems that Shaaf’s actions may have been the straw that broke the camels back. The Department of Justice is now looking into her actions. This moonbat has stated that she is “Ready to go to jail” for her beliefs in open borders and the end of the United States as a sovereign nation. Somehow, I don’t think that idiot has considered what she will be facing. I’ve posted the statutes before, and I don’t see any need to do so again.
The short version is, Mayor Shaaf, if charged, is looking at upwards of an 800 count indictment. If she is indicted, tried and convicted on any, or all of these charges, and the judge wants to make an example of her, she will be looking at up to 5 years imprisonment on each charge. These sentences could, theoretically, be made consecutive. In other words, Mayor Shaaf could be looking at life imprisonment without parole.
Getting back to the criminals picked up by ICE, no thanks to Mayor Shaaf, just how bad are they? The answer? Really bad.
An ICE spokesperson gave Fox News a list of the types of crimes for which those arrested in the rad had been convicted. They cover a range of bad behavior: aggravated assault, murder, hit-run, lewd acts with a minor, burglary, cruelty toward a child, indecent exposure, domestic violence, drug trafficking, battery, sex offenses and false imprisonment.
ICE pointed, in particular, to the case of Armando Nunez-Salgado, a Mexican gang member who had been deported four times and had convictions including assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, hit-and-run causing injury and evasion of a police officer.
Mayor Traitor is utterly unapologetic and thinks she did the right thing.
“I did what I believe was right for my community as well as to protect public safety,” Schaaf said Friday, according to NBC Bay Area. “People should be able to live without fear or panic and know their rights and responsibilities as well as their recourses.”
Now we see just who the Progressive Democrats consider their base, and it isn’t American Citizens. Shaaf needs to be put on trial and if convicted, sentenced to the maximum. If one of these scumbags kills someone, well, the statures in question cover that as well. The sentence can be anything up to and including the death penalty. Perhaps putting one of these Progressive Democrats on death row might wake up the rest of them, but I doubt it.
