Good day all. Once again, President Donald Trump has ended yet another mandate by the Great Mistake, Barack Obama. He has revoked another one of Der Fubar’s executive orders and replaced it with one that actually makes sense.
This one was one of President Pen and Phone’s gifts to the Environmentalist Wackos. Here are the details of yet another crushing blow to Obama’s legacy from The Hill:
President Trump late Thursday replaced an executive order signed by former President Obama that sought to reduce federal agencies’ energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
The revocation came as part of a late-night executive order that instructs agencies to set their own goals for efficiency and “prioritize actions that reduce waste, cut costs, enhance the resilience of Federal infrastructure and operations, and enable more effective accomplishment of its mission.”
Wait, what? President Trump is delegating to the agencies? How will they deal with that? Thinking for themselves, and having to produce actual results is not something Washington Bureaucrats are comfortable in doing. It violates their agency safe spaces.
Obama signed the original order in 2015, with a goal of reducing the federal government’s greenhouse gas emissions 40 percent in a decade. It asked agencies to reduce buildings’ energy use by 2.5 percent per year, use clean energy for 25 percent of their energy needs and shrink water use by 36 percent.
Obama saw the measure as a key part of his pledge to reduce the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions 26 percent to 28 percent by 2030.
Actually, it would have done nothing but jack up the costs of living. All those “Green Energy” schemes have proven to be nothing more then expensive wastes of money designed to enrich the CommuNazi elites. (Can we say Solyndra?)
But Trump has dismantled Obama’s environmental and climate agenda piece by piece, including major regulations and the emissions-cut pledge.
This is due to President Trump having a logical, functioning brain. He, or probably his people, looked at the costs associated with this phony “Global Warming” nonsense, followed the money and saw it for what it was. A fraud on the taxpayers of America.
Trump’s new order, signed Thursday, only asks agencies to set their own goals, and to track their progress toward them, replacing the prescriptive targets in the Obama order.
In other words, instead of issuing a “Royal Decree” as King Putt liked to do, with detailed micromanaging instructions down to the last paperclip, President Trump’s order lays out some general targets and tells the agencies to figure it out, then report back.
It also directs the heads of the Council on Environmental Quality and the Office of Management and Budget, both White House offices, to work to streamline the various energy and environmental requirements agencies must follow, in an attempt to make compliance more efficient.
Translation: Instead of telling each agency what to do and how to do it individual and in great detail, President Trump’s plan is to lay out a general target and when needed, provide central guidance. I can see the moonbats dropping like flies in an insecticide plant. What isn’t mentioned, but you can take to the bank, is that those who fail will be invited to seek other opportunities elsewhere in the “Dreaded Private Sector.”
