Good day all. Porn star Stormy Daniels has just been screwed one last time. The courts have just ordered her to pay President Trump’s attorney’s fees after attempting to extort a settlement from him over a fake case of defamation.
Daniels and her Creepy Porn Lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who is also in trouble for a whole host of reasons, brought the suit with the idea that they could “Get Trump!” Instead, they were “Trumped” and now Daniels is going to have to fork over one heck of a lot of money. Here are the details from Fox News:
Adult film star Stormy Daniels must pay President Trump $293,000 in legal fees, a judge ruled on Tuesday.
“The U.S. District Court today ordered Stormy Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) to pay President Trump $292,052.33 to reimburse his attorneys’ fees (75% of his total legal bill), plus an additional $1,000 in sanctions to punish Daniels for having filed a meritless lawsuit against the President designed to chill his free speech rights,” Charles J. Harder, the president’s legal counsel, said in a statement.
“The court’s order,” Harder said, “along with the court’s prior order dismissing Stormy Daniels’ defamation case against the President, together constitute a total victory for the President, and a total defeat for Stormy Daniels in this case.”
Needless to say, the Creepy Porn Lawyer doesn’t accept the verdict.
Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti quickly reacted, declaring the ruling wouldn’t survive an appeal.
“Charles Harder and Trump deserve each other because they are both dishonest,” Avenatti tweeted. “If Stormy has to pay $300k to Trump in the defamation case (which will never hold up on appeal) and Trump has to pay Stormy $1,500,000 in the NDA case (net $1,200,000 to Stormy), how is this a Trump win?”
Interestingly, the link to twitter no longer works, indicating that the Creepy Porn Lawyer deleted it. That isn’t to surprising since there is a fair chance that Avenatti is looking at disbarment himself. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Daniels doesn’t go after the Creepy Porn lawyer for the lawyer’s equivalent of malpractice, not that she would ge much from him. It seems that Avenatti is also pretty much dead broke.
Daniels probably doesn’t have the money. I doubt she’s going to be able to raise it either. Since she failed in her attempt to “Get Trump!!” all her backers are going to stop taking her calls. Well, she can always go back to working on her back. It does seem to be the one thing she excels at. Of course, that assumes her films are actually selling these days.
