Good day all. This came out a few weeks ago, however I’ve been a little preoccupied. It seems that a couple attending a Halloween party at West Virginia University ran afoul of the Politically Correct administration.
It seems the moonbats were less then thrilled by the costume choices worn by the couple, and they were hauled up in front of a kangaroo court. Here are the details from The Daily Wire:
On Tuesday, in the middle of final exam week, a student from West Virginia University was sent an emailed letter from an assistant dean notifying him that he is “the subject of an investigation regarding alleged prohibited conduct.”
In the letter (attached below), Assistant Dean LiDell Evans informed Joseph Cortese, a fourth-year student, that he was required to attend a meeting on Friday concerning an investigation about a photo he posted on Instagram of himself dressed as a Border Patrol agent for Halloween.
“This letter serves to put you on notice that pursuant to section 9.2 of the Student Conduct Code and Discipline Procedure for the Main Campus of West Virginia University, you are the subject of an investigation regarding alleged prohibited conduct,” Evans wrote.
And what was this “Prohibited Conduct” you ask? Well, as the old saying goes, “One picture is worth a thousand words.”

The photo, which Cortese agreed to share with The Daily Wire (see above), shows him handcuffing a female student who dressed up with him for Halloween. Cortese is wearing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement black hat and a Border Patrol T-shirt, while the female is wearing what Cortese says is an alien costume with a piece of paper attached to her shirt that reads “illegal.”
All I’ll say is, That’s one hot Illegal Alien! However, the Politically Correct were not amused and flat out threatened Mr. Cortese.
The email also informed Cortese that if he did not contact the office or attend the meeting, his student account would have a “hold” placed on it.
“I received this email Wednesday and have had awful anxiety since,” Cortese told The Daily Wire in an interview. “While I was trying to study for finals, this was looming on the back of my mind.”
“I know I didn’t do as well on my finals as I should have due to this,” Cortese added.

This is the standard operating procedure of far to many colleges and universities these days. If you are not part of the Progressive SJW herd, then you will be punished. It does seem that the administration figured out they might have put their foot in it.
Cortese, who is also the Communications Director for Students for Trump, said that during the meeting, Assistant Dean Evans told him the costume could be “misinterpreted the wrong way” but acknowledged that it was Cortese’s “constitutional right” to wear the costume.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the university’s lawyers heard about this prior to the meeting and reamed out the administration. If they had taken action against Mr. Cortese, he would have grounds for a massive civil rights suit, one he would probably win. As for that very attractive young lady in the cuffs?
Cortese says the female student has not been notified of an investigation or called in for a meeting by the assistant dean.
Those morons probably figured out that if they hauled her in, she would sue them six ways from Sunday. The fact is, the picture was harmless and it was funny. It’s obvious the young woman was having fun even with the cuffs on. (There is no mention in the story on whether or not they were real or toy ones she could easily slip off) She’s also probably the one who pinned the sign on, making her, per the standard CommuNazi doctrine, A willing racist hater.
This nonsense needs to stop and stop now. Sadly, the harassment of people like Mr. Cortese is going to continue until one of these bastions of higher political reeducation is sued into oblivion. As it is, the more Marxist colleges and universities are already seeing major drop offs in enrollments as students decide they want an education that means something and not degrees in advanced underwater basket weavingt and social justice. A few closures may do the system a world of good.
