Good day all. Like many people, I visit The Drudge Report a couple of times a day, or at least I used to. I’ve noticed over the last 6 months or so that The Drudge Report seems to have gone very negative on President Trump.

It seemed to me that Drudge was generally fairly even handed, putting up links to stories on both sides during the Mueller Inquisition, perhaps coming down a bit harder on the left. Recently, it’s almost like the people running CNN or MSNBC have hijacked The Drudge Report.

I’ve also noticed that some of the links he used to put up regularly are missing, although the sites are still live and active. He’s also started linking to at least one site I’ve always found questionable, Infowars, run by Alex Jones. Jones is a loud mouthed conspiracy nut and I generally take everything he says with a grain of salt. He’s a classic case of “Verify before trusting” anything he says.

The Drudge Report generally doesn’t provide any original content. What it does is aggregate news items and links back to their sources. (Something the European Idiots can’t seem to understand how this actually benefits them) However, Drudge does select what the “Headline” story or stories of the day are. Under Obama, he would point to stories from web sites that had credible information, (Unlike Infowars), on the corruption of the Obama Regime.

He also wasn’t shy about going after George W. Bush when he did something utterly asinine. However, it was William Jefferson Clinton, aka Bubba Horndog, aka The Silver Zipper, that made Matt Drudge’s bones. He found out that Time Magazine knew all about Monica Lewinski and spiked the story in order to protect Clinton. Drudge ran it and the rest, along with a certain blue dress, is history.

With the collapse of the Mueller Investigation, the CommuNazis have been going full bore attacking anyone and everyone they see as part of the failure to “Get Trump!” Granted, this is news, but the sources Matt Drudge has been using have been four square in the “Orange Man bad!!” “Never Trump!!” camp. There has been little pointing the other way. By this, I mean news stories showing, with evidence, how the Mostly Stupid Media is nothing more than a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

Now I may be seeing things from a certain point of view, (President Trump is the Bomb!! Orange Man GOOD!), but I will freely admit to that fact. I’m not sure what is going on with Drudge. Perhaps he’s seeing his hit levels drop. It used to be he would post stats that he had “Served one billion people” or something. I have seen one of those in months.

If Matt Drudge is thinking that backing the Never Trumpers will win him more click throughs, he might want to consider what’s been happening to other Never Trump sites. Hot Air has lost a significant number of visitors. (I’ve heard over 25%) The NeoCon magazine, The Weekly Standard, went solidly into the Never Trump camp, to the point they preferred Felonia von Pantsuit had won the election. They no longer exist. George Will and Bill Krystol are barely seen or heard from any longer.

I used to visit the Drudge Report several times a day. Now I just glance at it first thing in the morning, and if all I see is Never Trumper drivel, I don’t bother going back unless I see other major news stories on other sites. (Drudge is still a good source for major stories) I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of other former Drudge fans are doing the same thing. This doesn’t bode well for the continued survival of The Drudge Report.
