Good day all. It seems that the Leader in Fake News, CNN is having some financial difficulties. They’ve started doing some serious layoffs, and this caught a lot of people by surprise.

Sadly, it wasn’t the Fake News division that got whacked, but one that may actually have been somewhat reasonably balanced. Here are the details from Fox News. (And you know Fox is laughing all the way to the bank too):
Sanjay Gupta is safe, but much of the rest of CNN’s Atlanta-based staff that covers health care found out Tuesday they are getting pink slips — only a few weeks after the network called mass layoffs a “crazy rumor.”
What? The management at CNN LIED to their now former employees? How can this be? Aren’t they the most watched new network in history?
Specific details were not yet known, but a source told Fox News that “basically the whole division” will lose their jobs.
Probably so they can hire more CommuNazi propagandists to manufacture fake news stories.
CNN did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
TVNewser, a media watchdog site started by CNN’s Brian Stelter, managed to get confirmation from the network — just in time for a Friday news dump.
“As part of the normal course of business, our news gathering team made a small restructure earlier this week that ultimately impacts 6-7 employees within CNN’s Health Unit,” a CNN spokesperson told TVNewser’s A.J. Katz. Many health department staffers met with human resources on Tuesday. Katz noted that correspondent Elizabeth Cohen is also safe.
Since I don’t watch CNN, I don’t know who the two survivors are, and frankly, don’t care either.
Staffers are shocked, as the health department is considered successful and CNN recently declared that no layoffs were imminent.
First, I’m surprised that these staffers actually believed their management. CNN is run by liars, so lying is the first thing that comes to mind. As to whether or not the division was successful, you would have to check the bottom line. Was the department making CNN money? There is also the problem that since CNN’s mantra these days has been “Hate Trump All The Time!” there probably wasn’t a lot of anti-Trump fake news that the department could really generate, so…
As to the actual story of mass layoffs, CNN denies it of course.
“There are no mass layoffs at CNN. I have no idea where that crazy rumor came from. We have recently offered a voluntary buyout option for employees, and just over 100 people voluntarily decided to take it. That’s it,” executive vice president Allison Gollust told Fox News on May 7. “?We have nearly 4,000 people at CNN… and around 100 of them exercised the option for a program that was offered. That’s it. Those are the facts.”

I know how those programs work. “We’re making cutbacks and your job is going away. If you go quietly, and sign this non-disclosure agreement, we’ll give you a nice package. Otherwise it’s 2 weeks pay and unemployment for you, which we will challenge just to screw you over.
“CNN’s Southeast Bureau in Atlanta, CNN Health and CNN Climate will now be under one leadership, something that was not the case before,” Katz said.
Oh terrific, I can see the reasoning here. CNN will now say that any health matter is due to Man Caused Climate Change and Global Warming!! Yep, so much for that last glimmer of factual information regarding health and medicine being delivered to people.
The more than 100 CNN employees who decided to accept a voluntary buyout option included CNN International executive vice president Tony Maddox, who left the ratings-challenged network after 21 years.
In other words, he is looking to spend more time with his family and is seeking new horizons. Yep, they canned his ass. CNN has been circling the drain for the better part of a decade. They own the televisions in places like Airports, but unless there is an actual real story, such as a natural disaster or plane crash, no one is watching them anymore.
They have managed to destroy their credibility over the last few years and now it’s really beginning to hit their financial’s. Recently, AT&T acquired the holding company that owned CNN, and AT&T is having some serious issues of their own. It may be that AT&T is thinking about either spinning off CNN or just flat out unloading it. If there are more layoffs and consolidations, I think it will show that AT&T is looking to ditch CNN.
