Good day all. Andrew Cuomo is the governor of New York. He’s also as corrupt as the midsummer day is long. Furthermore, he hates President Trump. If you haven’t guessed yet, he’s also a Democrat. He will do anything to “Thwart Trump!” even if it hurts the citizens of New York.
In this case, the crooked old Moonbat vetoed a bill that was passed with overwhelming bipartisan support of the New York legislature. The bill would have allowed federal Judges to officiate at New York weddings. Here are the details from NBC News:
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has vetoed a noncontroversial bipartisan bill that would have allowed all federal judges to officiate weddings in the state because some might have been nominated to the bench by President Donald Trump.
“I cannot in good conscience support legislation that would authorize such actions by federal judges who are appointed by this federal administration,” Cuomo’s veto message stated.
“President Trump does not embody who we are as New Yorkers,” the Democratic governor added Friday. “The cornerstones that built our great state are diversity, tolerance and inclusion. Based on these reasons, I must veto this bill.”
Andrew Cuomo, is one of the biggest liars and hypocrites in office. His ideas regarding diversity, tolerance and inclusion can be very easily summed up. As long as you agree with him and do what he says, you will be rewarded. Stray off the Progressive plantation and he will throw everything he has at you. The ONLY reason he vetoed this bill is his hatred of Donald Trump.
The legislation, sponsored by Democratic state Sen. Liz Krueger, passed the state Senate by a 61-to-1 vote. It passed the state Assembly by a 144-to-2 tally. Both the state Senate and the Assembly are under Democratic control.
Well, if the state legislature chooses to, they can very easily override Coumo’s veto. Frankly they should.
“Four years ago, we gave the governor the ability to perform marriages,” Krueger said in a statement. “Two years ago, we gave legislators that ability. Marriage in New York is inclusive, equal, and open to all who want it. So when it was suggested to me that we expand it to federal judges, I thought, ‘Why not? The more the merrier!’ I’m certainly no fan of the judges this president is choosing to appoint — but since any New Yorker can become a minister online for $25 and legally perform weddings, I didn’t consider this to be a major issue.”
Hmm, I wonder. Perhaps I should look into becoming an online minister in NY. I wonder if I can do that in New Hampshire? (The webmaster does a quick search) Yep, I can!
The Federal Judges Association declined to comment on Cuomo’s veto, saying that the “solemnization of marriage is within the sole jurisdiction of individual states which control all matters of family law.”
I can understand why they wouldn’t comment. If you can’t say anything nice regarding that moron, then it is better to say nothing at all.
“Federal Judges do enjoy performing wedding ceremonies as a function granted specifically by the laws of many states in the Union, but that grant of authority is not universal,” U.S. District Judge Cynthia M. Rufe, president of the Federal Judges Association, told NBC News in a statement.
One of the issues that has Cuomo’s blood pressure going through the roof is the same thing that is drivign all the other Progressive Liberal Scum Democrats insane. President Trump has appointed over 190 new federal judges and is planning on filling every single judicial vacancy on the federal level.
He has been appointing judges that are what we call “Constitutionalists.” These are people who read the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, all the amendments as well as read everything they can on the intent of the authors of the Constitution. They see the Constitution as a document that is designed to restrict the power of the Federal Government and is basically written in stone. They do not read into the Constitution things that were never there in the first place. If changes are to be made, then we have the amending process.
Progressives, on the other hand, really don’t like the Constitution all that much. They put judges on the bench who will “Find” things that aren’t actually there, or flat out make things up. Ruth Bader-Ginsburg, along with Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, are classic cases. Up until recently, so was the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
President Trump has come close to a 50% ratio of Constitutionalist vs Moonbat judges on the 9th Circuit and a second term will probably flip it to a court that actually follows the Constitution. As for Ruth Bader-Ginsberg? She’s basically on life support. If Felonia von Pantsuit had won the election as was intended, she probably would have stepped down. Now she’s holding on, hoping to outlive President Trump’s term of office. When he wins his second term, you can bet she’s gone.
As for Andrew Cuomo? New York deserves better then him, but the moonbats control the population centers and keep voting that rotten scumbag back into office. Until the state collapses along with Illinois and Kalifornistan, he will own that seat. Of course, he could always make one mistake and lose that photo finish with a federal grand jury this time.
