Good day all. As the Great Panicdemic of 2020 progressed, we saw the nations governors, for the most part, do incredibly stupid things. Crashing the economy is one of them. The other was the move by many governors and mayors to suppress the constitutional rights of the American people.
One of these governors is Gavin Newsom of the Sheeples Democratik Repulik of Kalifornistan. His abuse of his power has only gotten worse, and some cities and businesses have said enough and are starting to ignore his diktats. This has led Comrade Newsom to double down on his tyranny. Here are some of the details from the Washington Examiner:
California Gov. Gavin Newsom told residents in his state not to expect life to go back to normal from the coronavirus pandemic until after a vaccine is rolled out.
“We’re not going back to normal,” Newsom said during a Tuesday press conference. “It’s a new normal, with adaptations and modifications, until we get to immunity and a vaccine.”
Considering that any vaccine is a year away at best, and that it’s possible that they won’t find a vaccine at all, it’s fairly obvious that Newsom has no intention of surrendering any of his usurped powers any time soon…or at all.
Newsom added in a statement that while the state is moving forward to “Stage 2” of the reopening process, people will still have to cope with other restrictions imposed by the state going forward.
“Millions of Californians answered the call to stay home, and thanks to them, we are in a position to begin moving into our next stage of modifying our stay-at-home order,” Newsom said in a press release. “But make no mistake — this virus isn’t gone. It’s still dangerous and poses a significant public health risk. As we move into the next stage of reopening, we will do so with updated guidance to help qualifying businesses make modifications needed to lower the risk of COVID-19 exposure to customers and workers. Californians should prepare now for that second stage of reopening.”
About that “Stage 2 nonsense. People are telling Newsom to stick it where the sun don’t shine, sit on it and rotate. There are also a few localities that are filing suit, or have already done so to block Newsom’s reign of error.
President Trump has said he is hopeful that a vaccine will be available by the end of the year but made it clear during a recent interview with ABC’s David Muir that it’s not a guarantee.
“You can never be convinced,” he said, adding that “we have a really good shot of having something very, very substantial.”
President Trump has made a few unfortunate errors during all this. Listing to those two quacks, Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx, regarding just how bad the Wuhan Flu was going to be. They, in turn, used a model developed in Britain that said millions of people were going to die in Europe alone. This is what led the governors to shut down the economy of the United States and trigger a new depression. President Trump is now working to get the economy going again. For a few governors, such as Newsom, the economy is less important then power.
Newsom is facing increased pressure from California residents to ease the strict lockdown restrictions he imposed on 40 million people in mid-March with the goal of flattening the coronavirus infection curve. Newsom also said at the time he didn’t expect the lockdown to last “many, many, months.”
He probably didn’t, but as the Democrats always say, never let a crisis go to waste. The problem for Newsom and the other dictator wannabes is their subjects are rebelling.
More than 500 protesters stormed the town of Huntington Beach, California, last week to demonstrate their anger at the governor for his decision to close local beaches. Some small businesses have also defied lockdown orders in Northern California and opened their doors.
Newsom’s directives have trashed an already problematical state economy. That he wants to continue the lockdown demonstrates that he isn’t interested in anyone’s well being. As I mentioned earlier, there are already a number of lawsuits being filed against Newsom, and people are starting to flat out ignore the orders coming down from both the state and some local governments.
As for Newsom? I am putting him into the “One and done” list of governors. If he isn’t removed from offices, he will probably be voted out in the next election, provided there are any actual citizens still in Kalifornistan when the next gubernatorial election is held.
