Good day all, and Happy Thanksgiving, at least for those of you not suffering under the Fascist Totalitarian Democratic CommuNazi governors. These are the ones who have decreed that you will not be permitted to have more then 10 people in attendance.
However, there seems to be a small loophole in one of these diktats in Colorado, and Representative-Elect Lauren Boebert has announced she is going to use it. The loophole? While the Dictator Governor of Colorado has decreed only 10 people may attend Thanksgiving, 30 people may attend a funeral. Ms. Boebert has announced she is having a funeral for her Turkey. Here are the details from Fox News:
Incoming Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, an anti-big government Republican who previously defied local shutdown orders, said she’s finding a creative way to bypass Colorado’s Thanksgiving gathering restrictions by having a “funeral” for a dead turkey.
Boebert, who has railed against coronavirus lockdown rules, called out Colorado’s limits on personal gatherings to 10 people while “life-rite” gatherings like funerals can have many more people.
“In Colorado, Thanksgiving is limited to 10 people, but funerals are limited to 30,” Boebert told Fox News in a recent interview in Washington, D.C., during congressional orientation. “So I’m going to have a peaceful funeral for a turkey and have about 30 people at my house.”
Reached Wednesday, Boebert confirmed her “funeral” plans for Thanksgiving but also quipped that her guest limit should actually be allowed to increase since she’s added two more dead animals to the menu, a pig and a duck.
Representative-Elect Boebert is an unabashed supporter of President Trump. She is also a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment, and she carries a Glock. (Personally, I think she should get rid of the Austrian Tupperware and go with something American, like Ruger or Smith&Wesson, but to each their own) She has also informed the Congressional Security force that she WILL be carrying her sidearm in Congress and in Washington. Apparently, this is one of those “Special Privileges” previous congresses granted themselves, never thinking someone from outside the Swamp would actually use.
Boebert, the owner of a gun-themed restaurant in Rifle, Colo., called Shooters Grill, said the government’s job is to inform the public of coronavirus risks and then let individuals exercise their own personal responsibility. She’s been an outspoken critic of shutdown restrictions that she says have devastated small businesses and families while allowing big-box retailers like Walmart to thrive.
The thing with the lockdown is that it was never about dealing with the Panicdemic, it was all about stripping away the rights of the people. South Dakota never locked down and their economy is doing fine. All the other states? Those under Republican governors, (Minus the occasional RINO), have been opening up and their economies are improving. The Blue State tyrants, refusing to give up their usurped powers, are tightening up the shackles even as we speak.
During the early days of shutdown, Boebert, a 33-year-old wife and mother of four sons, said she tapped the family’s savings to make payroll and avoid layoffs at her restaurant, which has gained famed for the waitstaff openly carrying their firearms. But in order to survive, she eventually defied coronavirus lockdown rules this May by reopening her restaurant – a decision that cost her a temporary suspension of her food license.
It took me a little digging, but I located the story on the heroic Ms. Boebert’s license. It was reinstated a couple of weeks later. Frankly, the Democratic CommuNazis must be wondering what the heck happened, and how this great American, Trump Supporting woman defeated their predetermined winner. I look forward to her work in Congress, especially the looks on the moronic faces of Alexandria Occasional-Cortex’s “Death” Squad when Representative Boebert walks by with her pistol strapped on. They will probably wet themselves. We wish Representative-Elect Boebert and her family our deepest sympathies at the sudden demise of their turkey. May he digest in peace.
