Good day all. Recently Los Angeles elected a new District Attorney, one George Gascón. He assumed office in December and has managed to enrage his staff, the police, and the victims of crime. The reason for this is that he is another of George Soro’s followers who refuses to actually obey or enforce the laws.
Recently, his own staff filed suit against him over his refusal to follow the laws when it came to dealing with criminals. Last week, a judge slap this commie POS down hard. Here are the details from Fox News:
A judge has temporarily blocked Los Angeles County George Gascón’s efforts to do away with certain sentencing enhancements, after his own prosecutors sued him, claiming he was ignoring the law.
The directives forbade prosecutors from seeking longer sentences for repeat offenders under the state’s Three Strikes Law, as well as in several other types of cases. The Association of Deputy District Attorneys for Los Angeles County (ADDA) brought a lawsuit against him, and Judge James Chalfant granted their request for a preliminary injunction, allowing certain sentencing enhancements to continue for the duration of the case.
From what I have been reading about this idiot, he is a hardcore leftists who coddles criminals and goes after regular citizens. He has refused to allow his staff to testify at parole hearings of violent and repeat offenders, generally guaranteeing they are released to rob, rape and murder again. One of the things that he is ignoring is Kalifornistan’s Three Strikes law. Basically, if you are convicted of three felonies, you go away forever. This is where the judge landed on this clown like the World Trade Center on 9/11.
“The District Attorney’s disregard of the Three Strikes law ‘plead and prove’ requirement is unlawful, as is requiring deputy DA’s to seek di5District Attorney from preventing deputy district attorneys from charging sentencing enhancements in new cases where not required by the Three Strikes law.”
As I understand this, if some overzealous ADA decides to bring a phone book of charges against a criminal that really aren’t warranted, the D.A. can tell the ADA not to do it.
Gascón has publicly defended his directives throughout this case.
“I never had any illusions as to the difficulty and challenges associated with reforming a dated institution steeped in systemic racism,” Gascón said in a statement, according to The Associated Press. “My directives are a product of the will of the people, including survivors of crime, and a substantial body of research that shows this modern approach will advance community safety.”
Since this joker took office, his goal has been to empty the jails per the instructions of his lord and master, George Soros. He will also go after anyone who dares to do things like defend themselves from the scum he is letting go. As you would expect, he is making excuses on not punishing convicted criminals.
After the ADDA filed the lawsuit in December, Gascón explained his position, and why he believes they would be beneficial.
“People must be held accountable, but we often put ppl in prison for extra years, increasing recidivism & creating more victims,” Gascón tweeted Wednesday evening. “This is unsafe, unjust & wastes taxpayer $. Prosecutors enter an appearance ‘for the people’ & the decisions we make must be in the people’s interest.”
The people’s interest, you moonbat, is to not be robbed, raped beaten and murdered. Most of these vermin are irrecoverable, and frankly society would be best served lining them up and shooting them. Very few actually turn their lives around, and frankly, those that do should be given their rights back and be encouraged once they have paid their debt to society. From one I understand, the ones that do turn their lives around are not repeat offenders.
Gascon said he intends to appeal the decision but will abide by it in the meantime.
Appeal away criminal coddler. I’m sure you will find some moonbat judge who doesn’t have the sense to come in out of the rain to rule in your favor. You may want to turn the LA district attorney’s office into the mirror of the St. Louis City Attorney’s office, and railroad innocent people into jail, but for the time being, you have been stopped. Meanwhile, we won’t have people feeling the need to do something like this.
