Good day all. Gruesome Gavin Newsom will probably be recalled and removed from office in a few months. However, he is still trying to bribe his primary constituents, illegal aliens.
in this case, he wants to give free taxpayer health benefits to criminal aliens. Here are the details of this boneheaded idea from the National Review:
Under Democratic governor Gavin Newsom’s revised budget proposal released Friday, California would expand its low-income health-care program eligibility to undocumented immigrants 60 years and older. An $859 million investment has been included in the budget to cover 89,000 elderly people living in the state illegally. The expanded eligibility would be effective next May.
In case you’re wondering where the money is going to come from, it seems that the People’s Demokratik Republik of Kalifornistan managed to rune a massive surplus this year….Somehow.
The governor’s move comes after the state collected enormous amounts of tax revenue and generated a $76 billion budget surplus. Democrats in the state pressured Newsom to scale up Medi-Cal coverage to include all low-income adults of all ages, regardless of immigration status, a recommendation that would cost $2 billion.
I have a better idea. How about returning the surplus back to the taxpayers? Or pay down some of those massive liabilities and debts you and your predecessors have run up? Finally, how about NOT giving anything to illegal aliens other then a ticket back to the third world hellhole they came from?
Newsom stood by his initial spending package, offering that “one-time surpluses can quickly give way to one-time deficits.”
For once, I actually agree with his Supreme Stupidness. Kalifornistan has a structural budget problem along with really stupid people in the legislature who can’t seem to understand that massive taxation and regulation is why people are now fleeing the state, and taking their money with them.
California currently covers undocumented individuals until they turn 26. State Democrats have promised to lobby for a plan expansion during upcoming budget negotiations. The spending plan must be approved by June 15.
And this is why the rest of America is hoping that the “Big One” finally arrives and dumps Kalifornistan into the Pacific. They protect criminals at the expense of the law abiding Americans and legal resident aliens.
The legislature also is considering two bills to increase the program’s reach. CA AB4 (21R), sponsored by assembly member Joaquin Arambula, would expand access to all low-income adults with no legal status over the age of 26, and CA SB56 (21R), sponsored by Senator Maria Elena Durazo, would expand access to seniors over the age of 65 with no legal status.
I looked up these two and as expected, they’re a pair of real prize winners. Arambula apparently beat an assault rap and Durazo is wholly owned by the Unions. Supporting Americans is not something they know how to do it seems.
The Legislative Analyst’s Office calculated earlier this month that covering the state’s undocumented seniors over 65 would add a $400 million expense to the budget.
I think you can multiply that by a factor of 10. Once the criminal aliens find out that they can get all the free healthcare they want, it’s off to Kalifornistan.
The office also estimated that the expansion would apply to 1 million undocumented people if legal status became irrelevant in determining state health-care eligibility. Such a proposal would cost the state $2.1 billion a year, according to the Legislative Analyst’s Office.
Again, that is being lowballed. There are an estimated 4 million illegals in Kalifornistan. Many of them are working under the table for the liberal elite for peanuts and taking jobs away from Americans and lawful resident aliens. As for Gruesome Newsom? He’s looking at political doom in a few months.
Newsom’s budget proposal comes amid a growing movement to recall him as governor, spearheaded by disgruntled Californians dissatisfied with his leadership during the pandemic. The gubernatorial special recall election is expected to be held sometime in 2021, likely in November.
I’m sure the taxpayers are going to be real happy with this latest bit of lunacy. Oh who am I kidding? Of course they will be! They’re all morons and moonbats out there. There is a reason Kalifornistan is called “The Land of the Fruits and the Nuts.” They may get rid of Newsom, but you can bet they’ll pass this latest fiscal disaster.
