Good day all. The Epic Biden Fail in Afghanistan continues. President Dementia is still lying about everything, and thousands of Americans have, for all intents and purposes, been abandoned. However, the British have been doing what Dementia Joe and the Woke Generals won’t do, sending out patrols to rescue people in Kabul.
This has annoyed the American Woke Generals and they are telling the British that they should stop doing this? Why? It’s making the American Forces, who should be doing this, look bad. Here are the details from the Washington Examiner:
I understand that the commanding general of the 82nd Airborne Division has told the commander of the British special forces at the Kabul airport to cease operations beyond the airport perimeter.
Maj. Gen. Christopher Donahue has told his British Army counterpart, a high-ranking field-grade officer of the British army’s 22nd Special Air Service Regiment, that British operations were embarrassing the United States military in the absence of similar U.S. military operations, according to multiple military sources. I understand that the British officer firmly rejected the request.
Col. Joe Buccino, a spokesman for the XVIII Airborne Corps, denied that Donahue made such a request.
“The XVIII Airborne Corps denies the central thrust of this story,” the spokesman said. “Specifically, Gen. Chris Donahue, whose sole focus is security at HKIA, never made such a request to any British Army officials and would have no motive for doing so.”
Obviously, things are very confused on the ground in Kabul, after Bug Out Biden’s Epic Biden Fail on the withdrawal from Afghanistan. There are thousands of Americans that President Dementia has abandoned, and apparently written off. The British also have citizens in place, and they are doing what the United States military should be doing, going out and rescuing people.
As to whether or not the 82nd Airborne General made such a request/order, I can’t say. I suspect not. I do know that the Europeans in general and the British specifically are furious with Dementia Joe. He flat out lied to them about what was going on and the withdrawal. I suspect General Donahue is caught between a rock and a hard place.
This show of rare tension between the U.S. and British command groups in Kabul reflects three factors.
First, it shows the obvious stress of attempting to extricate thousands of personnel under a situation of increasing terrorist threat. Elements of the Haqqani network, the Islamic State in Afghanistan, and possibly al Qaeda are now operating in proximity to Kabul airport with some degree of command separation from the Taliban.
In addition, the British military has more operational latitude in Kabul than the U.S. military, including the Navy SEAL elements present at the airport. I understand that the SAS has conducted operations to bring American citizens, as well as British citizens and at-risk personnel, through checkpoints and to the airport.
This is not an indictment on U.S. capabilities or special operations intent, but rather, it’s a reflection of political-military authorities. In part, this difference is understandable. Large-scale U.S. military operations beyond the Kabul airport perimeter would entail significant risk absent prior Taliban approval. But there is a sense, at least by allies, that the U.S. military could be doing more to leverage the Taliban into providing greater ease of access to the airport for those most at risk.
The Rules of Engagement are all on President Dementia and his Maladministration. Without question, the troops want to go out and use the Taliban and the other terrorist groups for target practice, but President Dementia and the incompetents he has brought in from the Obama maladministration are tying their hands. We know how the Greatest President of the 21st Century would have handled the situation. Stack the Taliban up like cordwood.
A bureaucratic tug of war between the State Department, Pentagon, and White House is also disrupting evacuation operations out of Kabul. This is aggravating British, French, and other Kabul-present military authorities.
Some many bureaucrats, so little tar and feathers. There are a large number of people, both in and out of uniform, who should be lined up against a wall. I will give the military some benefit of the doubt. The mantra of Civilian Control of the military is deeply ingrained into the United States Military. They might not like the orders, but short of resigning commissions, there isn’t much they can do other then protest quietly.
I understand that these governments have been further aggravated by the failure of the White House and Pentagon to communicate adequately, or in some cases, to communicate at all, on their intentions and actions.
The Pentagon may not have any information to provide, or they may be under direct orders to say nothing. As for the White House? They are in complete chaos. The Senile Idiot has no idea what he’s doing and in all probability, what day it is. Frankly, I don’t think anyone is in charge, and that is a terrifying thought.
All these allies admit, however, that only the U.S. military could provide the airfield defense and air traffic control capabilities now on display.
Logistics and stuff is what we do and we do it very well, provided you keep the boneheads from the State Department or the political idiots in the White House from getting in the way with their “Suggestions.”
Still, as I noted on Wednesday , the Biden administration’s conduct of the Afghanistan withdrawal has raised deep concerns by allies as to the administration’s credibility and confidence. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, allied officials reemphasized this concern to me on Friday.
Why are you so surprised? People warned you what a despicable, lying, backstabbing weasel Dementia Joe is. Add to that the obvious mental decline, (Not that he was a mental giant to begin with), and you should have guessed he would two time you. But hey, he isn’t Trump, so he has to be good, right?
Still, that there is even the appearance that a commanding general told an allied commander to stop the rescue operations because it made the American forces look bad is worrisome. There needs to be a full investigation into this clusterfuck, and it needs to lead to the removal of President Dementia. Yeah, Harris won’t be any better,, but at least her brain hasn’t turned to mush yet.
