Good day all. It’s October, there is an election in a few weeks, so it’s time for the traditional October Surprise. The October Surprise is usually something that comes out that harms one candidate or party. Usually it’s a scandal that has been covered up or a candidate says or does something that shows him or her to be a crook, hypocrite or a liar.
However, not all October Surprises are dirt dug up by one candidate on another. Sometime it’s just something that happens that catches one or both parties completely off guard. This year’s October Surprise has caught the Democrat party not just off guard, but completely flat footed. Here are the details from Fox Business News:
Independent women voters are swinging aggressively toward Republican candidates in the final weeks of midterm election campaigning, according to new polling.
A Monday poll from The New York Times and Siena College found that Republicans have an 11-point lead in the demographic, with 46% of Independent women saying they lean toward Republican candidates, while 35% preferred Democrats.
The result shows a startling swing from the same poll conducted in September, which found Democrats having a 12-point lead among Independent women. That poll stated that 43% of the demographic preferred Democrats and 31% favored Republicans.
The massive 23-point shift occurred over just a matter of weeks even as President Biden and Democrats have hammered on the abortion issue in an effort to galvanize female voters.
That isn’t supposed to happen. According to the Progressive Liberal Elite, being able to have an abortion at any time is the only thing that matters to women in America. With the Dodd Decision overturning Roe vs Wade, and returning the matter to the states to deal with, the Progressive Elite women, have gone all in saying that Abortion will be outlawed, birth control would be outlawed, and the world of the handmaid’s tale was just around the corner. It turns out that Abortion is not the top issue for women voters.
The survey found that roughly 26% of voters said the economy is their most important issue, followed by inflation and cost of living at 18%. Abortion came in third, but at just 5%. Immigration also landed at 5%, while crime rounded out the top five at 3%.
A lot of women have families and they are worried that Bidenomics and the Bidenflation that it’s causing is going to make to very difficult for them to take care of their children. This is especially true of single mothers who already have a tough enough row to hoe. They are more concerned with a roof over their heads and food to eat then they are about abortion.
They recall how things were under the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. Jobs were plentiful and paying well, the economy was going gangbusters and things were looking good. Back then they could afford to vote against their own self interests because they didn’t think that bad times would come.
They sorely misunderstood the Democratic Socialists such as Alexandria Occasional-Cortex and the others taking over the Democrat Party. They’re now seeing that the Democrats, Progressives and Liberals are dangerously incompetent and putting women in a financially precarious place.
They don’t trust the Democrats to handle economic, or even world matters any longer. The now see that it was the Republicans who were the ones who made things better for them, and they’re bolting the party in droves. Add to them, the Hispanics and Black Americans and the Democrats are probably be hammered in November. We shall see of course.
