Good day all. Elon Musk is in the process of overhauling Twitter, much to the consternation of the Moonbats. He’s already laid off half the employees, and recently let go thousands of contractors. This is to get the costs under control.

Musk has also been reactivating suspended accounts. Almost all of these accounts were of conservatives or others who would not toe the progressive party line. Now yet another shoe has dropped. Musk, who has instructed his employees to report to the office from now on, has committed the cardinal sin, (For the ever so entitled nitwits), of canceling the free lunches. Here are the details from Right News Now:
Woe to the tech tycoon who thinks there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Twitter CEO Elon Musk has come under fire this week for ending his newly acquired company’s regime of free meals, with some critics going so far as to accuse him of starving his staff.

The New York Times reported on Nov. 11 that Musk plans to make employees — who according to Zippia earn a starting salary of $106,000 — pay for their own lunches. Meals had previously been subsidized by the company.
If I made that much at my Real World Job, I wouldn’t expect my employer to pay for my meals. In fact, we don’t even have any vending machines in the office. (Not enough people willing to come in to the office) Since I do go into the office, I bring my own lunch and have almost from Day One. On occasion, I’ll go out and get something. I never expected a company to pay for my meals.
In a now-deleted tweet, Andrew Wortman, a “Gay AF” Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) supporter, wrote, “He fired 3/4 of the employees. Now he’s planning to starve the rest of them.”
Wortman added that the world’s richest man was “failure incarnate.”

That tweet is typical of the spoiled children in the workforce these days. Most of them have never been through a takeover or a layoff and honestly think that the duty of their employers was to take care of them. Needless to say, this clown was heckled unmercifully.
Croatian poker presenter Tatjana Pašali? responded, asking, “is this a parody?”
Musk was similarly unsure, writing, “I can’t tell.”
Well, the first thing about parody is that it actually needs to be funny and have a grain of truth to it. As we’ve all seen over the decades, the left has no sense of humor at all. Wortman meant what he said, and so deserves to be laughed at.
Some commenters referenced Milton Friedman’s 1975 book, “There’s No Such Thing as a Free Lunch,” when ridiculing the notion that Musk was starving highly paid employees by requiring them to sort out their own noontime dietary needs.
Journalist and novelist Ksenija Pavlovic McAteer pointed out that lunch isn’t “even free at the White House, Senate, State Department … you don’t even get a free lunch in a socialist country at work.“
McAteer suggested further that “if you need to keep your employees retention by offering them a free lunch then you have a problem with your company’s culture.”
That was the problem with Twitter. It’s original management, starting with Jack Dorsey, are classic “Manhattan Marxists.” They are generally quite wealthy and maintain their wealth by spending other people’s money. Twitter is a classic case. They’ve never really turned a profit and have been sucking in investors cash like a black hole sucking in light. Basically, they were all spoiled, self centered, self entitled precious snowflakes who have never experienced real hardships in their useless lives.
Taking Wortman’s accusation on its face rather than as absurdist humor, Musk wrote, “Especially bizarre given that almost no one came to the office. Estimated cost per lunch served in past 12 months is >$400.”
That is a massive expenditure. When the company I work for in my Real World Job would have a special event, I doubt they paid more then $15-$20 per person, and we were thankful for the free food. Needless to say, the Progressives accused Elon Musk of lying about the costs. He retaliated by unleashing the “Receipts of War!” upon them.

This is a lie. I ran this program up until a week ago when I resigned because I didn’t want to work for @elonmusk For breakfast & lunch we spent $20-$25 a day per person. This enabled employees to work thru lunchtime & mtgs. Attendance was anything from 20-50% in the offices.
Musk then did the one thing Progressives can’t deal with very well, He provided proof.
False. Twitter spends $13M/year on food service for SF HQ. Badge in records show peak occupancy was 25%, average occupancy below 10%. There are more people preparing breakfast than eating breakfast. They don’t even bother serving dinner, because there is no one in the building.

Musk’s suggestion that very few were taking advantage of the $13 million per year service at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters is tied to another problem he seeks to resolve: A significant number of Twitter staff are averse to coming into the office.
Yeah my office is experiencing the same problem.
On Thursday, Musk told employees that they would only be allowed to work remotely “on an exception basis for exceptional people.”
According to a transcript of the meeting obtained by the Verge, Musk said, “Let me be crystal clear. If people do not return to the office when they are able to return to the office, they cannot remain at the company. End of story.”
There is a video in the story from the Libs of TikTok showing a day in the life of the average precious little snowflake Twitter employee.
P.S. As a reminder of how Twitter lavished luxury perks on a workforce that was mostly useless – based on the massive layoffs – here is a video posted by a (now former) “product manager” (Musk fired 90% of them) enjoying her “work day”….
This is “a day in the life of a Twitter employee.” No wonder @elonmusk is firing 75% of them pic.twitter.com/cAHOuni765

I am, speechless. I’ve been in the workforce for a very long time, and have done everything from tossing hay bails to working in a kitchen before ending up in the world of Technology. I’ve never had a job where you had all these perks. I was expected to come into the office, put in 8 hours of actual work. If we had free coffee, we counted our blessings.
It’s no wonder that Twitter was never making any money. They were wasting it on this sort of garbage and treating their employees like little children. I doubt Twitter ever got more then 3-5 hours of work out of these useless mouths a week, never mind a day. I’ve also seen that for each developer or systems person, (People who actually produce things or support the infrastructure), Twitter had 10 managers.

If Musk hadn’t taken over the company, I have little doubt it would have collapsed in the next few years. Keep up slashing and burning Mr. Musk. Eventually, with hard work, a beautiful thing will grow to replace all the weeds you’re now ripping out.
