Good day all. A couple of weeks ago, the corrupt Attorney General of the United States, Meritless Garland, appointed a “Special Counsel” who’s job is to “Get Trump!” for whatever they can make up.
People are now digging into the man chosen and are finding out that he is what anyone with a functioning brain, (Which lets out Progressives, Liberals and Democrats), suspected. He’s another Deep State corruptocrat. Here are the details from the Daily Wire:
Jack Smith, the special counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate former president Donald Trump’s possession of classified information, was a key figure in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)’s infamous targeting of conservative non-profits, according to a 2014 report by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.
Care to guess who’s side he was on? Here’s a hint. It wasn’t the Tea Party groups or the American People.
On Oct. 8, 2010, Smith, then-Chief of the DOJ Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section at the time, called a meeting with former IRS official Lois Lerner “to discuss how the IRS could assist in the criminal enforcement of campaign-finance laws against politically active nonprofits,” according to testimony from Richard Pilger, then director of the section’s Election Crimes Branch and subordinate of Smith’s, to the Oversight Committee. Lerner eventually resigned from the IRS in 2015 following criticism of her targeting of conservative groups when denying or delaying tax-exempt status.
Lerner should have been criminally prosecuted, but this was the Obama maladministration, and like all Democrat administrations going back decades, they covered it up. If they could have gotten away with it, they would have promoted Lerner and given her a bonus.
“This seems egregious to me – could we ever charge a [18 U.S.C. §] 371 conspiracy to violate laws of the USA for misuse of such non-profits to get around existing campaign finance laws + limits?,” Smith wrote in an email to colleagues, per the Oversight Committee report. His email suggested that the department investigate conservative non-profits that reportedly may have violated campaign finance laws, according to The New York Times.
You will notice that no mention of Progressive, Liberal or Democrat non-profits were considered for investigation. Funny that, isn’t it?
The Times’s article described how 501-registered charities, with ties to conservative lawmakers, were receiving donations from corporations and interest groups. At the time, these groups were also lobbying the same lawmakers on Capitol Hill, the Times writing that “The sponsors – AT&T, Chevron, General Dynamics, Morgan Stanley, Eli Lilly and dozens of others – contribute millions of dollars annually in gifts ranging from token amounts to a check for $5 million.
So what’s the problem? Oh wait, I know. It didn’t go to those that Lerner and Smith considered more deserving. Progressive non-profits that would then hand the money over to the Democrat Party.
Smith’s meeting with Lerner shortly followed the article. Smith also urged the IRS to be “more vigilant to the opportunities from more crime in the … 501(c)(4) area.”
Smith wasn’t talking about the Liberal 501(c) non-profits either.
IRS officials under Lerner were later involved in selecting groups with the words “tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their names for audits, following Lerner’s meeting with Smith. The IRS’s scrutiny of non-profit 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) tax-exempt statuses applied for by these groups prevented them from fully participating in the 2012 presidential election between Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney, as admitted by the agency in 2013.
Which was the whole point. In the first debate. Mittens Romney pasted Obama. Add to that, people were furious over Obamacare and a host of other things. There was a fair chance that Obama would have lost his reelection bid. Blocking the conservative groups from being able to spend money was one of the things that helped Obama con his way to a second term. (Mittens Romney folding like a cheap suit was another)
Lerner later resigned from the IRS and pled the 5th Amendment when questioned about her actions by the Oversight Committee, which led to her being held in contempt of Congress. However, Smith and his team had “serious conflicts of interest stemming from their interaction with the IRS,” the report alleged.
Smith, rather than being dismissed from government employment, was moved over to the Public Integrity Section of the DoJ. From there, he worked to knock off any Republicans who might pose a threat to the Democrats.
Smith was also a leader in the prosecution of former Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell of Virginia on federal corruption charges in 2014, for accepting gifts from a lobbyist that he later repaid. The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously reversed his conviction in 2016, and all charges were later dismissed, though commentators have argued that the conviction stopped him from running for president in 2016.
That was the intent. Of course, that also led to the election of the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. I have little doubt that Smith is looking to do another railroading job on President Trump.
In his role as special counsel, Smith will oversee two investigations into Trump. One is regarding whether he or his affiliates “unlawfully interfered in the transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election,” per the order of appointment.
The answer to interfering with the transition is no. That corrupt senile pedophile was sworn in at the appropriate day and time. Did President Trump fight tooth and nail? Hell yes. If that jerk wants to try and bring that up, he’s going to be hammered hard including all sorts of demands from the Trump lawyers for election records that were denied his team after the Tainted election of 2020.
The other concerns Trump’s possession of classified information at his private Mar-a-Lago estate following the expiration of his term in violation of federal law, leading to a raid of Mar-a-Lago by the FBI on Aug. 8.
That too will blow up badly. Al the documents were in a federally approves and secured container with armed federal agents on site. Regarding the classification stuff? That’s already falling apart.
Trump has alleged that the FBI unlawfully seized materials subject to attorney-client privilege, and sued to have the documents reviewed by a Special Master to judge whether or not they could be used in the DOJ’s criminal investigation of him, per court filings. Some legal commentators claim that Trump is likely to be indicted on criminal charges for possessing classified information as a private citizen.
Good luck with that. The DoJ has been turned into the Democrat’s Gestapo. If they try to arrest President Trump, there is a very good chance that bad things might start happening. When the raid to frisk Melania Trump’s underwear occurred and people found out, many of Trump’s supporters started heading to Mar-a-Lago and they were armed. Smith and the maladministration might want to consider what would happen if they did arrest Donald Trump and fake charges.
“Based on recent developments, including the former President’s announcement that he is a candidate for President in the next election, and the sitting President’s stated intention to be a candidate as well, I have concluded that it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel,” said Attorney General Garland, per a DOJ press release.
Garland has completed politicizing the DoJ and the FBI that was really begun under Obama and Eric Holder. If anything, he’s far worse since he has tried to go after parents for standing up to the Teachers Unions, school boards and administrations. He has colluded with several organizations to use the Patriot Act and have parents standing up for their children declared Domestic Terrorists.
It’s not at all surprising that he will try and throw President Trump in jail. It will just be the next step in ending the Republic and institute the dictatorship the Ruling Elites have been pushing for over the last century. This will not end well for anyone if they try it.
