When the weather gets tough, the Democrats get going…to warmer climes

Good day all. Over the last week or so, we have seen some very extreme weather. Upstate New York is still digging out from a massive snow storm. Other parts of the country had either now, rain or extreme cold temperatures. Many airlines, with Southwest being the worst, canceled many flights, stranding people trying to get home for the holidays.

One major question has been, “Where’s Waldo?” In this case, it’s been “where is Biden?” “Where is Buttplug?” Where is Mayor Adams?” I have something going up on Buttplug later this week, however, two people who should have stayed close to home once they saw how bad things were getting are the President* Joe Bumbles Dementia, and the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams. I’ll start with the disgrace that is Adams first. Here are some of the details from the Daily Wire:

Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams skipped town as the Big Apple braced for severe wintry weather, according to his office, leaving the Democrat open to criticism. City officials told reporters Adams took a couple of days off, noting he left town Thursday and would return Saturday. They would not divulge where the mayor had gone but stressed Adams was in contact with city officials.

The mayor is still in touch with everybody on the ground,” Fabien Levy, a spokesperson for Adams, told Gothamist. “He is coordinating all the city’s responses.”

Adams timing was typical of Democrats in charge these days. Miserable. When serious issues appeared, they all disappeared.

Adams disappeared as a “once in a generation” winter storm swept across much of the country, producing dangerous conditions that have knocked out power for more than a million customers, foiled holiday travel plans, and killed more than a dozen people. Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) declared a state of emergency for the Empire State on Thursday as the approaching winter storm threatened all sorts of hazards, including plummeting temperatures, slick roads, strong winds, and power outages.

As much as I think Govno Hochul belongs in prison, she, at least, knew enough to stay in New York. I’m sure others will discuss, debate or complain about how she handled things, but, unlike Adams, she was there. As for Adams, he held a press conference and was plastered with questions from a not to friendly media. Here are those details from the Post Millennial:

A visibly frustrated Eric Adams fielded questions from reporters on Tuesday after admitting that he took a secret Caribbean vacation while a once-in-a-lifetime storm slammed New York City.

In other words, he’s behaving exactly to spec as an Elitist Liberal Progressive.

When asked about his whereabouts on the Thursday and Friday before Christmas while parts of the city were underwater, the mayor told reporters that he took a two-day vacation to the US Virgin Islands.

“I was amazed to see how you responded,” he told reporters, explaining that this was his second Christmas without his mother and that he was in a “state of depression.”

Nice try dumbass. Trying to play to the sympathy of the people. Somehow, I don’t think any of them are feeling all that sympathetic.

“After 365 days of commitment to this city, I decided to take two days to reflect on mommy,” he said, “and to watch how you responded to my two days out of this city was really alarming.”

“So, if I take time off to get my mental capacity together, so I can take this city through the crisis, I deserve those two days,” he stated defensively.

Did General Patton take time off when the Germans launched their offensive through the Ardennes in the winter of 1944? Did General Washington take a long weekend at Valley Forge? Did FDR, (Whom I despise), take a few days on the Presidential yacht on December 8th?

When the storm hit, people started looking for the lazy good for nothing deadbeat. (Adams, not Buttplug or Dementia Joe) He was no where to be found and his staffers either didn’t know or weren’t saying.

Following Adams’ sudden disappearance from the public eye on Thursday, questions have been raised relating to what level of transparency is required from the Mayor’s office regarding his travels, according to the New York Post.

And Adams responded with a pretty loud whine.

“Every mayor traveled away,” he said, “I deserve private time. I’m a believer of that. I deserve to walk out of a building without a reporter hiding behind a flower pot, without someone following me.”

“Nowhere in the city charter does it state that I have to report to the New York City press where my whereabouts are, and I’m not going to do that,” he added, “And I’m not going to apologize for having the mental and physical capacity that’s needed to do the second most difficult job in politics in America.”

Now he’s sounding a lot like his predecessor, Bill de Blasio. He was well known for not doing his job and going through the motions. Shortly after Adams was elected, he started emulating all the wrong headed policies of de Blasio. People were saying, “Meet the new mayor. He’s just like the old one.” It looks like Adams is trying to surpass de Blasio, and he’s still in his first term.

It’s obvious that Adams is unfit for the office of Mayor of one of the largest cities in the United States. He is in way over his head, and like a lot of Progressives, when the going gets tough, he gets going…on vacation. Well New York, he is your mayor. You voted for that incompetent idiot. You are getting exactly what you wanted, good and hard.
