Twitter Files shows that the Twitter 1.0 team lied through their teeth

Good day all. When Elon Musk bought Twitter, there were many Twitter employees who were gnashing their teeth and pulling their hair. Musk had stated that he was going to make the platform what it was intended to be, a free speech platform.

Thanks to the Twitter Files, we also know another reason so many people inside Twitter were…how should I put this? Apprehensive. Elon Musk and his new team, along with the journalists putting together the Twitter Files also showed that the previous management had been lying about things such as shadow banning people. Here are the details from The Federalist:

Remember all the times Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and top Twitter lawyer Vijaya Gadde assured us that Twitter neither shadowbans nor targets conservatives? Well, they lied.

In the second installment of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files,” independent journalist Bari Weiss exposed how the Big Tech company was secretly “blacklisting” conservative tweets and users by keeping “disfavored” tweets from trending and secretly hiding whole accounts or topics without users’ knowledge.

One Twitter team, the “Strategic Response Team – Global Escalation Team” (SRT-GET), was reportedly committed to censoring “up to 200 ‘cases’” per day. Victims included prominent conservatives Dan Bongino and Charlie Kirk, as well as Stanford University professor and co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration Dr. Jay Bhattacharya.

The Great Barrington Declaration was a major target of the Biden Maladministration, the CDC and Anthony Fauci. It provided a place where real scientists and medical people could say that they believed the lock-downs and all the other restrictive measures pushed by Fauci and the CDC were actually far more harmful than the Covid-19 virus. Fauci and the others in the maladministration all but ordered Twitter and the other Big Tech firms to shut down all mention of the petition.

Another secret censorship group, the “Site Integrity Policy, Policy Escalation Support team” (SIP-PES), was responsible for the most “politically sensitive decisions.” The group included Gadde, Dorsey, trust and safety head Yoel Roth, former CEO Parag Agrawal, and others, and it was personally responsible for suppressing the viral Libs of TikTok Twitter account, among other high-profile censorship calls.

Thankfully, one of the first things Elon Musk did was shut that group of Nazi Censors down and fire the whole lot of them. Most of their victims have already had their accounts restored including the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. (He has said he won’t be using it) However, this isn’t the story. The real story was Jack Dorsey and the others flat out lying about shadow banning people because they were saying things that went against the Progressive narrative.

On July 25, 2018, Vice News reported that several prominent Republican politicians, such as Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, and Matt Gaetz, did not show up in a drop-down menu of automatically suggested searches, even when typing in the politicians’ names.

A day after the outcry over the apparent shadowbanning, Gadde and Twitter’s product head Kayvon Beykpour attempted to couch concerns by co-authoring a blog post titled “Setting the record straight on shadow banning.” “We do not shadow ban,” Gadde and Beykpour insisted. “You are always able to see the tweets from accounts you follow (although you may have to do more work to find them, like go directly to their profile). And we certainly don’t shadow ban based on political viewpoints or ideology.”

I read through the blog post, and I recommend that you do as well, especially if you like fiction.

The day before publishing that blog post, Beykpour posted a Twitter thread blaming the discrimination against Republican members of Congress on the company’s use of “behavioral signals and machine learning,” which they were working to “improve.” However, Beykpour assured users that “our behavioral ranking doesn’t make judgments based on political views or the substance of tweets.”

Nice try numbnuts. Those programs only look for what they’re told to look for, and they were told to look for anything that didn’t support the Progressive narratives. Of course, they were never going to admit that. It might cause people to abandon the platform and look for alternative sites like Gab, Parler and Truth Social.

Dorsey then shared Gadde and Beykpour’s blog post, writing, “We don’t shadow ban, and we certainly don’t shadow ban based on political viewpoints.”

We want a vibrant and healthy public conversation inclusive of all perspectives, and one that’s immediately relevant and valuable,” added Dorsey.

The shadow banning caught the attention of Congress, since some of the members were victims of it. They had Dorsey appear before an oversight committee to explain himself and Twitter’s actions.

In a September 2018 congressional hearing in response to the Vice story, Texas Republican Rep. Joe Barton asked Dorsey if Twitter discriminated against conservatives. “No, our policies and our algorithms don’t take into consideration any affiliation, philosophy, or viewpoint,” said Dorsey, who then spent the rest of the hearing blaming the censorship on a mistake in Twitter’s algorithm.

Dorsey was then asked point blank by Representative Mike Doyle if Twitter was rigged to censor conservatives. Jack Dorsey denied it. Now we know that Twitter was actively blacklisting many conservatives and that Dorsey lied to congress about it. The next major ban was the New York Post story on the Hunter “Hoovernose” Biden laptop and the contents therein. Twitter blocked the Post from sending out any tweets on the story, and suspended their account, all to protect the Biden Crime Family and get Dementia Joe Biden installed into the Oval Office.

Naturally, the corporate media accepted Twitter execs’ shadowbanning denial at face value. A 2018 Vox article called the idea that prominent Republicans were being shadowbanned a “persistent conspiracy theory.”

Of course, we now know that shadow banning was in effect, and that the Mostly Stupid Media, because they are nothing more than propagandists for the Progressive Liberal Democrats, didn’t even try to look into it. This is one of the reasons that the MSM has been either ignoring the Twitter Files or attacking Elon Musk and the actual reporters who are doing real reporting. They are making the MSM look bad.

The idea that Twitter allowed users to “share ideas” “without barriers” (as its mission says) was a bald-faced lie.

Twitter’s political discrimination was not exclusively algorithmic. The deliberate silencing of conservative voices was carried out by regular employees and the tippy top of Twitter’s corporate ladder.

The Twitter Files have been showing all the internal messaging and emails regarding blocking content and suspending people that attempted to put forward ideas and discussions that went against the Progressive Narrative. To claim it was buggy code is laughable.

Charlie Kirk’s account contained an internal warning label that read “Do Not Amplify.” Twitter secretly condemned Bhattacharya to a “Trends Blacklist” and put Bongino on a “search blacklist.” Libs of TikTok was suspended numerous times for allegedly violating the company’s “hateful conduct” policy, but insider communications revealed that “after her seventh suspension, the [SIP-PES] committee acknowledged that ‘LTT has not directly engaged in behavior violative of the Hateful Conduct policy.’”

I never followed the Libs of TikTok, however I believe she basically posted the actual words that liberals used, showing they were hypocrites and liars. Dan Bongino became a target after he launched the Bongino Report when the Drudge report drank the Progressive Kool-Ade. (It appears Drudge is no longer affiliated with the web site which has seen a massive collapse in page views) I don’t know Charlie Kirk at all.

The story concludes with a complaint that Musk will maintain some form of shadow banning. If so, this is the first I’ve heard about it. I have read that Musk and his people have been working through all the previously banned accounts and are slowly restoring them. I know that some people have not yet had their accounts restored as yet.

As for the liars of Twitter 1.0, it does appear that those who testified in front of congress may have lied to congress, and if they were sworn in, flat out perjured themselves. I don’t know if that charge expires with the old congress or not, and in any case, it wouldn’t matter. The Garland DoJ has been so politicized and corrupted that it can no longer be considered a “Justice” department. If they were, there would already be investigations and grand juries looking into Jack Dorsey and the others. Still, it’s nice to have yet another conspiracy theory shown to be true.
