Good day all. It’s been an entertaining few days as Kevin McCarthy struggled to gain enough votes to become the Speaker of the House. There was a lot of horse trading and flat out threats, but finally, after 16 votes, we finally have a winner!
It’s been reported by the Mostly Stupid Media that it was 15 votes before McCarthy was elected. They were incorrect. There was a 16th vote that wasn’t reported after an error was found with the Dominion voting machines used to tally the votes. It was decided to have a 16th vote, just to keep everything on the up and up. Somehow, another McCarthy was nominated and due to a plethora of errors. The wrong McCarthy was elected. Allow me to introduce the new Speaker of the House!
Needless to say, many people were shocked that this person is the new Speaker of the House. No one is owning up to submitting the new Speaker’s name for consideration, and many are now trying to find a way to vacate the vote. However, the original holdouts are saying “Hey, he can’t be any worse than Kevin.” We shall see.
