Good day all. On New years Eve in New York City, an Islamic nutcase from Maine went after several police officers with a machete, injuring several before police shot him. Several officers, including a rookie were injured.
I wrote this up shortly after it happened, but the press of more important news pushed the release back a bit. Then we had our system issues, (Now corrected), and more recently, GarageGate and the BidenFiles. Now, I’m not going to name the suspect since this is obviously a terrorist attack, if incompetently done. Here are some of the details from Newsmax:
NYPD officers were attacked by a man wielding a machete just outside the security area for the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration on Saturday, leading to him being charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of attempted assault.
I saw a picture of the machete, and frankly, those officers are extremely lucky that Jihad Jerk didn’t know how to handle it properly. It could have easily decapitated his targets. Among the interesting items is that Jihad Jerk is actually from Maine. When the story first broke, people, wrongly, assumed the criminal was local to NYC.
The New York City Police Department and the FBI are looking into the online history of Jihad Jerk, (When needed, I’m replacing the jerk’s name with Jihad Jerk or some other epithet), who attacked police with an 18-inch machete during the city’s New Year’s Eve celebration. According to sources, the attacker reportedly converted to Islam and became “radicalized” as recently as a month ago.
Mike Driscoll, the FBI assistant director in charge, said during a news conference that the FBI’s anti-terrorism unit was helping the investigation, according to the New York Post.
“I want to be clear the FBI and the terrorism task force is working very closely with the [NYPD] to determine the nature of this attack, and we will run every lead to the ground,” Driscoll stated. “As you heard the mayor and the commissioner state earlier that there is no ongoing threat, we believe this was a sole individual at this time; there’s nothing to indicate otherwise.”
I’m going to guess that the New York Police Department is none to happy with the Federal Bureau of Ineptitude. It seems they had Jihad Closet Case on a watch list as a potential terrorist. Of course, these days, if you complain about schools grooming children and teaching Critical Race Theory, using #FJB or chanting Let’s Go Brandon, you are put on their watch list. Since that’s about 2/3rds of the American population, I can see how they missed an actual terrorist.
Jihad Loserboy had been on the FBI’s terror watchlist — the “Guardian Watchlist” — after his mother and aunt reported him for comments about going to Afghanistan to fight alongside Islamic militants, the Post reported, citing an anonymous law-enforcement source.
Sources have said to the Post that the FBI in Boston has opened a case on Jihad Chicken Choker and has confirmed he was on the Guardian Watchlist because of his radicalization. Retired NYPD Sgt. Joseph Giacalone told the Post on Sunday that the NYPD and the FBI would look through his online history.
Nothing like locking the barn after the horse has left, gone to the next county, molested a herd of goats and died of old age. In any case, Jihad Jerk made out a will, got the machete and headed to New York. I will give him this much, he did obey the new gun laws, which ban them in Times Square.
Well, at least no one is dead, not even the loser jihadi wannabe. The FBI is once again demonstrating their incredible levels of competence. I wonder what they would have done if this clown had bought a couple of tons of Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer, a few hundred gallons of gas or diesel fuel and a bunch of empty 55 gallon drums? Probably go lean on some extremist parents who dared show concern about what their children were being shown in schools. Next time we might not be so lucky.
