Good day all. It’s no secret that the southern border of the United States went from being secured and defended under the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, to nothing more than an invasion route by millions of criminals under the Worst President* in American History.
One of the major problems is the refusal to uphold the current immigration laws and outright incompetence of the head of the Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas. His actions, probably under the orders of those “Managing” President* Bumbles Dementia Biden, have created a crises where there shouldn’t be one. Now, thanks to Mayorkas’s ineptitude, he is telling Congress that they have to “Fix things.” Here are the details from Fox News:
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, in an interview Wednesday, warned that the enormous migrant numbers being encountered at the southern border are “straining our system” as he again echoed administration calls for Congress to pass a sweeping immigration bill that includes an amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
Thankfully, it’s now unlikely that any attempt to grant amnesty to the millions of criminals that have invaded America will pass both houses of Congress. (Not impossible. It depends on if the RINO’s, TransRepublicans and Establishment Chamber of Congress types can be sat on) Besides, a large majority of Americans, and even more of those who legally immigrated to the United States are dead set opposed to any form of amnesty for the invading criminals.
Mayorkas was asked in an interview with The Washington Post whether the administration can handle an expected additional surge in migration across the southern border once the Title 42 public health order — which has been used to quickly expel migrants at the border since 2020 — comes to an end.
Fortunately, the attempt to end Title 42 has been blocked at the Supreme Court level. How long it will remain blocked is anyone’s guess.
Mayorkas, in his answer, said that the number of migrants that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is already encountering is putting significant pressure on the U.S. immigration system.
“There’s no question that the number of encounters that we are experiencing at the border is straining our system,” he said, before calling the immigration system “fundamentally broken.”
“No one disagrees with that. We just can’t seem to agree upon the solution. And a solution is long, long overdue,” he said. “Within the broken immigration system that we are operating we are managing the number of encounters, and we are prepared to address the end of Title 42. We’ve been preparing for this since well beyond last year.”
And who’s fault is that? It certainly wasn’t the previous administration. President Trump had almost shut down illegal immigration.
Republicans and some Border Patrol officials have blamed the Biden administration for the surge, saying that it has rolled back Trump-era enforcement and border security and has encouraged migrants to come to the border. The Biden administration has rejected those claims, blaming the Trump administration for closing off legal asylum pathways and also focusing on “root causes” such as poverty and instability in Central America.
Yeah, root causes. Here’s the thing. No one gives a damn about the “Root Causes.” What they care about is not having to worry about an invading army of criminals crossing the borders, stealing anything that isn’t nailed down, robbing, raping and then murdering them in their own homes.
For a long-term solution, the Biden administration has repeatedly pushed a sweeping immigration reform proposal which was first introduced when the administration took office in 2021. Along with various expanded immigration pathways and technological upgrades, the centerpiece of the bill is a mass amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants — who could apply for an eight-year pathway to citizenship.
Now I will be the first to say that the current immigration system is a mess. I’ve had to deal with it in the past and will have to deal with it again in a few years. (She Who Must Be Obeyed will need her green card renewed again) However, anything that grants amnesty to those who crossed into the United States without permission is a nonstarter.
My idea for amnesty is simple. Go home and apply for entry like any other foreigner who wants to come to America. If we don’t know you’re here, and have not thrown you out once already, that’s your amnesty. As for all these so called asylum seekers? In general, Hell No! Most of them are claiming asylum under fraudulent conditions, or claiming that they can’t find a job in the third world hell holes they came from. Not our problem.
Mayorkas went on to claim that the need for labor in the U.S. is “so great.”
“We have 10 million job openings in the United States,” he said. “I was reading about what Canada is doing to address a million open jobs. They’re bringing in about 1.3 million migrants to fill that labor need that cannot be met within their own borders. President Biden sent forward a comprehensive package on day one. It has not occurred yet.”
Not to worry, those jobs will dry up soon thanks to the economic recession we’re entering into. Besides, we have plenty of Americans to fill those jobs. All you need to do is shut off the damn welfare and tell them to get a job or starve. It would also help if the maladministration stopped making it hard for businesses to actually hire people.
As for Mayorkas? He needs to be removed from his position. There have been demands that Dementia Joe fire him, which he won’t do, and there have also been calls to just impeach him and remove him that way. (This can be done, but it’s just like impeaching a president or judge. It takes both houses of Congress and the Senate won’t do it being under the control of Democrats)
As things stand right now, if the maladministration doesn’t pull their collectivist thumbs out, the states may take matters into their own hands, up to and including deploying armed National Guard forces and state militias to the border with orders to use any force needed to repel the invasion. They might also start general round ups of illegals and shipping them out as well, and when federal judges tell them to stop, ignoring the courts. Can we say Constitutional Crises? Thanks to the current maladministration, sure we can!
