Texas considering resolution declaring state is under invasion

Good day all. Three years ago, the southern border was well on it’s way to being secured. Then we had the Tainted Election of 2020 and the installation of the worst president* in American history. One of the first things that Bumbles Biden did was reverse everything that the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump did to protect America.

Since then, we have seen, for all intents and purposes, a flat out invasion of the United States. The border states have been screaming to Washington to do their jobs and secure the border, all of which was ignored. The only relief has been through the courts that have been slapping down the Maladministration. Now it seems that Texas is going to try and do something about it on their own. Here are the details from Just The News:

Texas state Sen. Lois Kolkhorst has filed three bills and one resolution to address the border crisis, including one that would declare Texas is under invasion by Mexican cartels.

Kolkhorst, R-Brenham, said one of the most common questions she receives from constituents is, “What is Texas doing to combat the absence of a secure border?”

“While the federal government is charged with border control, they have failed to keep Texas and the United States safe,” she said in a news release. “As a result, Texans are suffering, which is why I have filed legislation to address the horrific fentanyl crisis, enhance offenses for unauthorized immigrants who commit crimes, ensure Texas workers are legally authorized to work in the U.S., and declare to the federal government that Texas has been invaded by foreign drug cartels.”

Now the Constitution does allow for a state, under very specific circumstances, to take military action against a foreign government or organization. Specifically, Article 1, Section 10. The specific part reads:

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Without question, the border states are being invaded, and residents have been victimized by the hordes of illegals coming across the borders. We are also seeing the Cartels smuggling everything, and sending armed people across as well to protect their “Products.” There have been shots fired at law enforcement, the border patrol and residents. I don’t think we’ve seen anything like this since Pancho Villa crossed the border and raided Columbus, New Mexico.

SCR 23, a concurrent resolution, would declare that Texas, under Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, “is entitled as a sovereign state of the United States of America to protect itself against this current foreign drug cartel invasion; this constitutional authority grants the State of Texas the power to defend the state when the state has been invaded, or is ‘in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.’”

It also calls on the federal government to declare Mexican cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, something the Biden administration has said it will not do.

Of course the maladministration won’t declare these criminals to be terrorists. If they did, two things would happen. First, all the money they’ve been getting as campaign contributions would dry up. Second, they would actually have to do something.

It also calls on the Texas Legislature to “find that the State of Texas has been invaded by foreign drug cartels and that the citizens of this state are in danger of irreparable harm” and to encourage “all applicable state and local resources as needed, to use any and all authority under Article I, Section 10 of the United States Constitution to repel this violent foreign drug cartel invasion, and that such authority should be invoked with the intention of utilizing such authority in the most peaceful manner possible consistent with bringing this invasion to a conclusion at the earliest possible moment.”

If Texas does announce that they are being invaded and will do whatever it takes to stop the invasion, this will lead, potentially to several things. First, Texas will call out both the National Guard forces, and the Texas State Militia. (They actually do have one separate from the United States Military) Second, Texas will probably reach out to Mexico and tell them to “Stop this or we will.” This steps on the State Department.

The third thing could be an actual, physical invasion of Mexico by Texas. I don’t mean driving down to Mexico City, but probably across the border to areas that can be secured and fortified. This would be an extreme measure of course, but could be justified, theoretically, under Article 1 if the Federal government continued to refuse to defend the state.

If Texas were to call out the Texas National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard to be deployed to “Repel the invasion,” I would expect the Bumbles Biden Maladministration to order the federalization of the guard to prevent Texas from using them. The Guard units might refuse the federalization orders and seize their weapons from the armories. Congratulations, we now have a full blown Constitutional Crises. Of course, this all assumes that the legislation actually passes both houses of the Texas Legislature and the Governor signs it. I have a suspicion that this may happen.

At least 42 Texas counties have declared an invasion or expressed support for Texas doing so, as well as the Republican Party of Texas and the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

There are several other bills being proposed, such as SB 1620. This basically increases penalties for illegal aliens who commit crimes inside Texas. (Other then illegal entry I believe) another bill, SB 1621, would mandate the use by all public and private employers in the State of Texas to utilize the E-verify system. Apparently, this is not a requirement on private companies in Texas.

One of the major issues facing not just Texas, but the entire country is Fentanyl. This drug was made to aid people dealing with intense levels of pain. From what I understand, it makes Heroin look like aspirin in comparison. When used for it’s intended purposes, it provides tremendous relief to people. It’s usually used by patients in the last stages of life.

The drug, in it’s pure form, is so powerful that incredibly small amounts are lethal. The cartels have been manufacturing it in Mexico, with Chinese components and smuggling it across the border by the ton. The bozos in Congress like to blame this on Big Pharma, but all they did was invent it and for a good purpose. The cartels are the ones making and importing it into the United States. Senator Kolkhorst has also filed a bill regarding Fentanyl.

She also filed SB 1622, which would create a new offense in the state health and safety code, in line with a pledge made earlier this year by Gov. Greg Abbott: those who manufacture or deliver fentanyl that causes the death of an individual will be charged with murder.

Under Kolkhorst’s bill, the new offense would be classified as a first degree felony and carry a sentence of life in prison or 5 to 99 years in a Texas state prison.

Where the federal government is avoiding its responsibility, Texas will fulfill its constitutional duty to protect our citizens, property, and border,” she said.

I have no idea if these bills will pass, especially the SCR 23 declaring that the State of Texas is being invaded and that they will deploy forces to defend against the invasion. Personally, I think they should, and then, if required, invade Mexico and go after all the Cartel Sicarios and the leadership. To pay for all this, go after their property and bank accounts. I also think they should, once they reach defensible terrain, fortify it to stop those crossing into the United States.

I suspect just the act of preparing to do all this will cause a blind panic in Washington and the White House. I would not be at all surprised if the Democrats tried to block Texas from implementing defensive measures. It would be interesting to see what sort of legislation they would try to ram through, hoping some of the RINO’s in the House would fall in line. I wouldn’t put it past Meritless Garland to send Federal Agents into Texas, not to stop the Cartels, but to stop the Texas state government. What happens next is anybody’s guess.

Technically all states have an independent State Militia as they are “Necessary to the Security of a Free State,”. Whether or not they are formed and active is another story. At this point in time the sheer neglect, explosion of bureaucracy and waste of public resources give Texas the exact same causes for independence that are cited in the Declaration of Independence. Considering the obvious moribund state of the Republic, I may actually support such secession as in keeping with my Oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC.

That’s what will make it a true civil war which is a horror this country has never experienced. Don’t confuse the war of succession (a geographically and culturally distinct region attempting to separate for its own good) with a civil war (two or more factions trying to control the same country).
BTW looks like an interesting series. It looks like it will go well with Bracken, Ringo and Col. Kratman

Got to thinking about the Texas State Militia after my previous reply. The most famous armed organization in Texas, the Texas Rangers, were originally commissioned as part of the Army of Texas during the Texas War of Independence.
