Whoops! The FBI did it again!

Good day all. Thanks to first Obama and now Garland/Biden regime, the FBI has pretty much stopped trying to pretend they aren’t a secret police force that cares nothing about the rule of law or the Constitution. They have been caught yet again abusing their authority and lying to judges.

The FBI has been using what are called FISA warrants to spy on people. The FISA warrants are kept secret and the targets never know they are being watched/spied on. The issue came to the fore when it was found out that the FBI lied on a number of FISA requests to spy on President Trumps people. Instead of learning their lesson, they appear to have doubled down. Here are the details from the New York Post:

Like the casino gambling scene in “Casablanca,” the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court is “shocked, shocked” that the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to ravage the privacy of vast numbers of Americans.

I don’t know why they would be. They have seen this happen time and time again, yet they continue to let the FBI and the DoJ get away with it, again and again.

For each American the FISA court permitted the FBI to target, the bureau illicitly surveilled almost 1,000 additional Americans.

Would you care to guess just who the FBI targeted? I’ll give you three guesses, but you won’t need more then one.

The court’s just-revealed ruling signals the FBI presumed any American suspected of supporting the Jan. 6, 2021, protests forfeited their constitutional rights.

FISA was enacted after the Watergate scandal shows that Nixon was using the FBI and other intelligence agencies to spy on their political enemies. The idea was to keep the current administration from torching the 4th Amendment. After the 9/11 attack, President Bush decided to have the NSA and the DoJ start going through everyone’s email and other data and to hell with a warrant. The courts said “Yeah, no. Not happening.” This led to the FISA reform act in 2008 that let Obama rampage through people’s data.

But under Section 702 of that law, the FBI was permitted to conduct warrantless searches of that stash for Americans’ data only to seek foreign intelligence information or evidence of crime.

It’s that last part that is the problem. It basically lets the FBI go trolling through people email and other data looking for anything the can use to get Deplorable Ultra MAGA Trump supporters.

The heavily redacted 2022 opinion finally released Friday revealed the FBI conducted 278,000 improper searches of Americans in 2020 and early 2021. Incredibly, the bureau conducted roughly 3.4 million warrantless searches of Americans in 2021 via Section 702.

The day before, Thursday, an FBI whistleblower revealed in congressional testimony that FBI headquarters pressured agents to treat anyone who attended the Jan. 6 protests as a criminal suspect.

That was something like 100,000 or more people, most of whom came to hear President Trump speak. Some of them went to Capitol Hill to protest Congress, but never crossed the lines set up. We’ve seen the FBI going after anyone who was in the area, using cell data to get their locations. The problem with that is it’s not all that accurate.

There are many instances where they accused people who were a fair distance away of going into the Capitol. The estimate is about 2000 people including who knows how many federal agents pushing things along that went into the Capitol Building. We’ve since learned that most of these people were let in by the Capitol Police and that they acted like tourists. (There has already been at least one acquittal because of footage showing the Capitol Police escorting people around)

An FBI analyst exploited FISA to unjustifiably conduct searches on 23,132 Americans citizens “to find evidence of possible foreign influence, although the analyst conducting the queries had no indications of foreign influence,” according to FISA Chief Judge Rudolph Contreras.

So was that analyst fired and criminally charged? Of course not.

The court ruling did not disclose the standards (if any) the FBI used for its warrantless Jan. 6 searches.

That is a simple answer. The standards were whatever that totalitarian NAZI thug Merrick Garland said they were.

It gets worse.

The FBI exploited FISA to target 19,000 donors to the campaign of an unnamed candidate who challenged an incumbent member of Congress.

This is why the House is looking into the weaponization of the DoJ and the FBI. House oversight committees have subpoenaed records and documents from the FBI and the agency flat out refused to comply.

The agency refused to provide the document Monday in a private meeting with the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. The unclassified FD-1023 document details criminal allegations of a pay-to-play scheme related to the Biden family’s business dealings, according to a whistleblower at the agency who spoke with Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

Grassley is a Senator and the Democrats control that part of Congress and they don’t have any problem, for the most part, with the actions of the DoJ and the FBI. The House is another matter and they have had enough.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who chairs the Oversight Committee, issued the subpoena to the FBI, which previously failed to provide the document by a May 10 deadline. Comer said he wants to work with Senate Republicans to hold the FBI’s budget “hostage” until the agency gets new leadership or provides the document.

“They don’t respect anyone in Congress,” Comer said Monday on Fox News. “They’ve been able to get away with this for a long time. The media continues to turn a blind eye. The Senate Republicans continue to fund the FBI. Why would you change your business model when you’re getting everything you want?”

Speaker of the House McCarthy has spoken with FBI director Wray and said that he’s confident they FBI will hand over the documents. No one else is, and many are accusing Wray and Garland of lying under oath to Congress. This is why there’s talk of holding back funds from the agency.

What Comer and the others should really consider is the opinion of more than half the people in the United States. They don’t see the FBI or the DoJ as being reformable. They think, and I’m including myself in this, that the FBI needs to be defunded, disbanded and all personnel fired. The DoJ needs a thorough housecleaning with most divisions being closed down and most of the people there being fired as well.

Sadly, this isn’t going to happen with the current maladministration. I don’t know if the next one will be able to. It’s going to take a true nightmare scenario for the FBI, on the order of the British retreat from Lexington and Concord with similar levels of casualties before the idiots in Washington pull their thumbs out and finally shut the Federal Bureau of Investigation down.

Not defunded, disbanded and fired but Razed, Jailed, and Executed. Any member of the DOJ in charge of setting mission parameters or having arrest authority needs execution. They ignored our rights, why should we recognize their rights to a trial? Especially when they are also in charge of gathering and preservation of evidence.
