MCNBC’s resident racist admits that she was to dumb for Harvard

Good day all. Joy Reid is a commentator on MSNBC. She is also a flat out racist and is suffering from Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome. I don’t watch her show or MSNBC. I am not their target audience. (That would be Marxists, Leftists, Progressives and Morons) What I didn’t know was that she had attended Harvard University.

When I read this, I was a bit surprised. Harvard, back when she would have attended, still looked at people’s grades. Then Reid explained how she got in. Here are the details from Fox News:

Affirmative action was the only reason MSNBC’s Joy Reid attended Harvard, the anchor insisted on Thursday.

Reid made the point while appearing on “All In with Chris Hayes” to comment on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that affirmative action in college admissions violated the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause. While opposing the decision, Reid admitted that she benefited from affirmative action herself.

“I got into Harvard only because of affirmative action,” Reid said. “I went to a school no one had ever heard of in Denver, Colorado, in a small suburb. I didn’t go to Exeter or Andover. I didn’t have college test prep. I just happened to be really nerdy and smart and have really good grades and good SAT scores.”

She continued, “But someone came to Denver to look for me. A Harvard recruiter flew to Denver, and I met me up with her at the Village Inn Restaurant and did a pre-interview to pull me into Harvard. I was pulled in — affirmatively.”

I looked up Reid’s “Career” on Wikipedia. (For things like this, it’s usually accurate) Reid went to Harvard in the late 80’s, and as I recall, they were actively looking for blacks to attend. I don’t have any idea on how Reid’s academics stacked up to the non-diversity applicants. For all I know, she was nothing more than a check box that was filled and was then socially promoted. Or, the racist moonbat actually got in on her academics and nothing else.

The Supreme Court case arose after the accusation that Asian Americans students were being discriminated by being held to a higher standard compared to Black or Hispanic students because of affirmative action. Several liberal personalities, however, have insisted that the decision will primarily benefit White students.

Reid did not reference the impact on Asian Americans but noted that her presence “was questioned by White people” at Harvard.

“I was in a big conference class where some White students stood up and said, ‘Those students, the Black students, they’re only here because of affirmative action.’ It became a huge argument that we all ended up having,” Reid described.

Reid has a history of not being entirely accurate with the facts. However, it’s also true that the Ivy league schools, along with almost all of the “Big Name” liberal universities did bring in lesser qualified students simply because they were black.

She added, “I had never had my academic credentials questioned. I had never had anyone question whether I was intelligent — until I got to Harvard. And it was a defining point of my experience there. It was one of the many reasons I was miserable there my freshman year. You felt completely out of place. People kept telling me, ‘You shouldn’t be here.’ And yet, some of the people I went to school with were far less smart than me or the other Black folks there.” 

That is a pretty low bar considering how stupid you are. It also doesn’t speak well of the academics of today’s university system. What happened in many cases is these students came in and were overwhelmed with the classwork and couldn’t keep up. They either failed out or dropped out. There have been, how should I put this? Incidents where people with lesser academic abilities were given passing grades solely due to their skin tone. When they graduated, they were not competent and failed in the marketplace.

There are a lot of very smart people of all skin tones out there who could and would do well in places like Harvard. If the recruiters spent more time cultivating these people, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Instead, what we’re seeing is the Liberal Racists once again saying that the only way someone who is black can get ahead is if the White Liberals “Help” them.

Other MSNBC personalities have also attacked the decision regarding affirmative action. MSNBC columnist Dean Obeidallah tweeted, “Next up the GOP’s Supreme ‘Court’ will strike down the Civil Rights Act to allow Jim Crow segregation to start again.  Please don’t dismiss this as being over the top. This so called court ended reproductive freedom, gutted the Voting Rights Act and ended affirmative action.”

The Voting Rights Act had a few major issues, one of which was forcing states to get permission to do things like clear out the dead wood in voting rolls. Much of it was flat out unconstitutional and a lot of it has already been thrown out. Frankly, the only thing the Federal Government may do is make sure that each person who is legally entitled to vote is not prevented from doing so, and that is limited as well. (Requiring ID to vote is for everyone and the states will help people get the ID. Democrats are opposed to voter ID since it cuts into their ability to cheat)

The Jim Crow laws? Those were passed by the Democrats. The Democrats also opposed the original Civil Rights Act, and only supported it when it was politically beneficial to them. We’ve already discussed the reversal of Roe, so we can skip that. The simple fact of the matter, and this is something that idiot Reid can’t get through her thick head, that the way to fix racism is not to impose more racism.

That is the major difference between Liberals and normal people. Normal people ignore skin tone and look at the individual. Liberals can’t get past skin tone. It’s all they think about. Worse, they do not acknowledge individuals, only groups. Joy Reid is the perfect example. She’s admitting that the only reason she got into Harvard was due to her skin tone. Now that’s all she thinks about. If Joy Reid wants to see a true racist, she should look in a mirror.
