Good day all. We all know what a steaming pile of Schiff Representative Adam Schiffhead is. He is a flat out liar who led the charge against the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump.
We had to sit through years of his lies claiming that he had “Hard evidence” that President Trump was working for the Russians. When the Republicans finally took control of the House, he was bounced from his committee assignments. Since then, he’s decided that he should be the next Senator from Kalifornistan, replacing Dianne Feinstein. To that end, he’s raising campaign funds. Now it seems that he’s doing it in the traditional style of Democrats, (And a few Republican RINO’s). He’s steering taxpayer funds back to his donors. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:
Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, who is running for the Senate in 2024, doled out $10 million through earmarks to defense contractors that donated to his campaigns, according to a report published on Monday by Politico.
Schiff, who is running against fellow Democratic Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee, earmarked over $10 million of taxpayer money to five companies to develop military technologies between 2001 and 2007. These companies were found to have donated tens of thousands of dollars to his campaign, according to a review of earmark records by Politico.
I looked at the Politico story and they were kind enough to post the returns on investments donations that Schiffhead received and the earmarks he arranged for his donors.
“We were always concerned about the pay-to-play aspects,” wrote Steve Ellis, who runs the group “Taxpayers of Common Sense,” of Schiff’s earmarks, to Politico. “If you’re getting a campaign contribution and getting your earmark for that same company or for a client of that lobbyist, it has that perception.”
Good luck proving it. Most of the Democrats are pretty good at hiding their ill gotten gains, especially if they’re not looking for increases in personal wealth, but are looking for more power and influence. (Senator Menendez (D-NJ), may be one who was more interested in personal wealth rather then power) Schiffhead looks like he’s more interested in gaining power. The Daily Wire then breaks down the donations and what they paid Schiffhead, err, I mean donated to his campaign and what they got in return. For instance:
The largest donor earmarks by Schiff, totaling $6 million, went to Smiths Detection, which was developing chemical weapons sensors for the military, while another $3 million went to Phasebridge, Inc., which was developing a Naval radar system. Both of these groups retained a lobbyist, Paul Magliocchetti, who around the same time donated $8,500 to Schiff’s campaign committees. Magliocchetti was later convicted on federal charges of illegal campaign contributions and served 27 months in prison, Politico reported.
So, Schiffhead was collecting bribes campaign contributions from a guy who was busted for illegal campaign contributions.
One of Schiffheads opponents for the soon to be late Dianne Feinstein, blasted earmarks.
Schiff’s opponent, Porter, attacked the use of earmarks in a video posted on Twitter, now known as X, on July 25, which appeared to be subtly critical of Schiff.
“Instead of neutral experts looking at where the need is greatest, politicians up for reelection set taxpayer dollars aside for projects they choose for their own reasons,” Porter said. “The solution to Washington gridlock isn’t misdirected spending; it’s an end to the dark money.”
The problem with banning so called “Dark Money” is that you run head long into the 1st Amendment. What needs to be done is to end the earmarks. Actually, the entire budgeting system needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up, and that is going to take some serious thought. This lets out all of the Democrats of course and frankly, most of the Republicans.
Barbara Lee, by contrast, has defended the practice. “I am not going to neglect my constituents, nor the state, by not bringing in as many federal projects — these are tax dollars. My constituents in the state deserve their tax dollars to be returned to the state,” she said, according to SpectrumNY1.
Except that you are looting the taxpayers of other states to protect your phony baloney job. As far as I’m concerned, this is just another case of a Democrat selling his office. Schiffhead is a crook, a liar and an all around pile of rotting horse manure. The sad part about all this is, he just might end up in the Senate instead of a prison cell where he belongs.
