Since the first hours of his maladministration, the Worst President in American History, Dementia Joe Biden, has been working to wreck the energy sector and impose the “Green New Deal” by fiat. He has been sending John Ketchup Boy Kerry all over the world to make promises that will kill the United States.
I’ve talked about John Live Shot Kerry many times. He is many things. Loyal, patriotic, trustworthy, honest and competent are not on that list. He has just announced several things in his recent trip to Dubai at taxpayer expense that should have him ripped apart in Congress. Here are some of the details from the Daily Wire:
The Biden administration has pledged millions of dollars to a de facto international “climate reparations” fund at the United Nations (UN) climate summit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The fund, referred to by its proponents as a “loss and damage fund,” is intended to have developed countries transfer money to the developing world as compensation for the impacts of climate change. The U.S. promised more than $17 million to the fund on Thursday, according to Axios.
I wonder where the maladministration intends to get the money for this “promise?” I don’t recall it being an expenditure authorized by congress, do you?
Numerous energy industry experts previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation amounts to a “climate reparations” program that redistributes wealth from the West to the third world in a “global shakedown.”
The U.S. has repeatedly emphasized that all payments into the fund are voluntary and therefore are not an admission of legal liability, according to Axios. It is unclear whether these pledged payments will actually be made in full, or whether taxpayer dollars will be used; it is possible that private dollars or more innovative funding mechanisms are used.
I don’t care if people want to send these kleptos and groomers their own money. I object to sending MY money. As for using tax dollars? I don’t think this has a snowball chance in Hell of getting through the House. The next bit of stupidity that Ketchup Boy the Gigolo came up with was a promise to close down all coal fired plants in the United States. Here are those details from Fox News:
The Biden Administration is forging ahead with its green agenda by committing the United States to not building any new coal plants and phasing out existing plants. U.S. Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry announced at the annual United Nations climate change summit, known as COP28 and which is being held in Dubai, although no date was given for when the existing plants would have to go.
“We will be working to accelerate unabated coal phase-out across the world, building stronger economies and more resilient communities,” Kerry said in a statement.
“The first step is to stop making the problem worse: stop building new unabated coal power plants.”
The question for this moron is, what do you replace the coal plants with? Natural Gas? That’s already happening, however you want to kill those as well. How about nuclear power? The technology for a nuclear power plant has improved significantly. Of course, you’re opposed to those as well.
As of October, just under 20% of the U.S. electricity is powered by coal, according to the Department of Energy. The amount of coal burned in the United States last year was less than half what it was in 2008.
The reason coal fired plants are decreasing in the United States is simple cost. Gas fired plants are more cost effective right now then coal fired plants. It doesn’t help matters that when the owners of a coal fired plant want to do some upgrades to improve efficiency and install some improvements in the antipollution systems they have, they run right into the idiots in the EPA. They won’t allow a plant to make incremental upgrades over time. For the EPA it’s all or nothing and the Hell with the costs. So the owners don’t simply don’t do the upgrades.
Last month President Biden said that coal plants “all across America” will be shut down, to be replaced with wind and solar.
No, they won’t. Solar power is nowhere near as efficient as coal, gas, hydro or nuclear power. It isn’t reliable either. It requires the sun to be out and clear skies. No sunlight, no power.
The U.S. commitment comes despite China unleashing a massive expansion of coal power generation last year. China already accounts for about 27% of total global emissions, according to Rhodium Group, an independent research provider. The nation’s emissions output is equivalent to triple the total of the U.S., which is the world’s second-largest emitter.
What about that Kerry? Are you going to demand China shut down all their coal plants and not build anymore? Would you care to guess what their answer to that will be?
Furthermore, global delegates heading to COP 28 were last week circulating a letter calling for the U.S. and other Western nations to immediately ban new natural gas infrastructure projects.
So, no coal plants, no gas plants, forget about nuclear plants and oh, by the way, you also need to tear down all those hydroelectric dams as well. If this idiocy were actually carried out, it would collapse the American power grid outright. Of course, that is just what these elitists want. The complete collapse of the Greatest Nation in history.
Of course, none of this is going to happen. Coal fired plants my be phased out, but it won’t be replaced with wind turbines, solar power or unicorn farts. It will be replaced by gas fired plants or Nukes. Power companies are also starting to look at nuclear power again as well. Eventually, fusion power may become a reality, although you will see the same Luddites complaining about that as well.
The last time we saw idiocy like this was when Kerry, as secretary of state under the second worst president in American history, Barack Obama, signed on to the Paris Agreement. That would have destroyed the United States economically. Interestingly, it was never submitted by the Obama Regime to Congress for ratification.
Obama knew it had no chance, and one of the first things the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, did was pull out of it. (Of course the worst President* in American History, Bumbles Dementia Biden signed an executive order putting us back under the thumb of the Eurotrash. Still no submission to congress of course)
John Forbes Kerry is a corrupt, incompetent gigolo. Throughout his entire adult life, he has done nothing for the United States. He has actively worked against the interests of this nation and our Constitution. He has, in my unschooled opinion, committed many crimes, starting with repeated violations of the Logan Act, and ending, potentially, with Treason as defined by the Constitution. (I’ll leave that up to those schooled in the law) Kerry belongs in prison, not jetting around on the taxpayer’s dime causing trouble.
