Good day all. This is a breaking story so the 72 hours rule is now in effect. News reports are saying that Harvard Diversity Hire…President, Claudine Gay will resign from her position.
Gay has been under fire since her disastrous testimony to Congress after the major shows of support for the Hamas terrorists and raging antisemitism that exploded on Harvard’s campus after the October 7th massacre by Hamas in Israel, and the resultant declaration of war and invasion by the IDF into the Gaza Strip.
Then it came out that Gay is also a plagiarist and that a number of her papers, such as they are, contained data that she basically stole from other people. While the Harvard Boards were all in protecting her, to the point of saying her plagiarism wasn’t that bad, (Apparently it was), major donors to Harvard were demanding her removal and were turning on the boards as well. Now Claudine Gay has tendered her resignation. Here are the details from Fox News:
Harvard president Claudine Gay announced her resignation Tuesday afternoon.
In a letter to members of the Harvard community, Gay said she was stepping down as president but will return to the Harvard faculty despite widespread plagiarism allegations against her.
“This is not a decision I came to easily.”
I bet. You’re going to be taking a major financial hit, not to mention the loss of prestige as the first black woman Harvard President. (In other words, a diversity hire)
“Indeed, it has been difficult beyond words because I have looked forward to working with so many of you to advance the commitment to academic excellence that has propelled this great university across centuries.”
What would you know about academic excellence? You stole your work from others.
“But, after consultation with members of the Corporation, it has become clear that it is in the best interests of Harvard for me to resign so that our community can navigate this moment of extraordinary challenge with a focus on the institution rather than any individual,” Gay wrote.
In other words they invited you to resign and if you didn’t they would fire you and boot you from the faculty. (Which should happen considering the plagiarism) That’s how things work at the levels that Gay was at. Besides, I suspect the Harvard Board members were looking to covering their own leftist backsides.
The Fox Story continues with her letter of resignation and you can rid her drivel there. Meanwhile, Representative Stefanik, who’s take down of gay and the other two Ivy League presidents led to the resignation of Upenn’s, (MIT’s president is still there for now), basically did a victory dance.
In a statement first obtained by Fox News Digital, House Republican Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., reacted to Gay’s resignation.
“I will always deliver results. The resignation of Harvard’s antisemitic plagiarist president is long overdue,” Stefanik said.
I do so appreciate Rep. Stefanik’s subtlety at times like this.
“Claudine Gay’s morally bankrupt answers to my questions made history as the most viewed Congressional testimony in the history of the U.S. Congress. Her answers were absolutely pathetic and devoid of the moral leadership and academic integrity required of the President of Harvard.
This is just the beginning of what will be the greatest scandal of any college or university in history. Our robust Congressional investigation will continue to move forward to expose the rot in our most ‘prestigious’ higher education institutions and deliver accountability to the American people.”
According to the Ivy League school’s newspaper, the Harvard Crimson, Gay’s resignation will bring an end to the shortest Harvard presidency in the university’s history.
The Boston Globe reported that, according to their sources, Harvard’s provost, Dr. Alan Garber, will become interim president.
I don’t know who this person is, and I really don’t care. If he’s on the Harvard Faculty, he’s probably a hard left ivory tower barking moonbat. I don’t think he’s going to be the permanent president, and frankly, I think Harvard is going to have a hard time finding anyone to take the job.
Harvard is a disgrace and is going to need a very strong administrative hand to clean it up. The university, along with all the Elite Ivy League schools are under an electron microscope these days. If the Harvard boards bring in another leftist moonbat, I suspect they’re going to get a nice congressional anal probe that the Area 51 aliens wish they could use.
If the board goes the other way and brings in someone and gives them the authority to fix things unconditionally, then look for a lot of expulsions and terminations/layoffs with a lot of the junk “Studies” classes and degrees being scrapped. But that is all in the future. For now another Progressive Liberal Racist Antisemitic fraud has been bounced. Now if they would just pull her tenure and kick her to the curb.

The problem is that while it’s not mandatory to hire from the Academic Complex for a uni president, it is common, and in general one would have a difficult time finding someone from that pool of potential hires that isn’t a leftard.
